Oliveoil,

It's both bizarre AND true. I know the person who set Anna Friel up with the machine.
Apparantly, she was a size 6-8 when she started the treatment!! The company loaned her the (very expensive) machine in exchange for publicity.

The treatment does work, a bit. But as Anna was very skinny already with a small post-birth tummy bulge that no doubt would have gone in time with regular exercise, she probably didn't need it.

So there you go.

Well I read the interview pre baby in Grazia and it went on and on about lentils and losing weight. However in this weeks OK (Jordan's wedding part 2!!) she stresses (!)

'that she hasn't consciously tried to lose her baby weight. In fact she says she doesn't approve of this celeb trend of regaining a pre-pregnancy figure at a very fast rate. 'It's crazy and, as a woman in the public eye, a really bad example for other women' (WTF)
'For Anna it's the natural approach to get back into shape 'Basically, I'm nit losing sleep over my figure and I really hope women stop giving themselves a hard time. It takes nine months to make a baby and at least nine months for your body to return to normal afterwards'!!

I am not going to give the woman a bashing, but HMMMMMM she is full of S**T

Well, let's hope the film goes straight to DVD and she gets upset and starts comfort eating and ends up in the "fat celeb"-pages in heat magazine then

  1. unscientific claptrap.

2. once met Anna Friel in a bar. she was arrogant obnoxious and very very irritating in a "don't you know who I am" sort of way and spectacularly rude to the staff.
3. she was crap in Landgirls.
4. Don't like her.

Can you imagine Germaine not wanting to share her opinions with us all?

Can't say I'm really having any "life of the mind" atm though, still waiting for pregnancy brain to wear off, 11 months on

Hmmmm, I have a love/hate relationship with G Greer - I read the whole woman while preggers, and I'm not sure if she really knows what she's talking about with some of her comments re. breatsfeeding = sexual pleasure and other things about motherhood/pregnancy. How can she really nknow without having had the experience herself??
Doesn't stop her from sounding her horn though, which is slightly annoying imo

Funny you should mention Germaine Greer Spacedonkey.

I like Germaine but she did say that she didn't have children because she knew she wouldn't be able to have a "life of the mind" if she became a mother

Julie , Anna's mum, is on right hand side in white t-shirt and greeny skirt.

She never blags about her daughter and I didn't know the connection when my dd was going to that school. Julie's dep. head. there and she's a lovely person. So sush you lot!

What's the big deal? I was back at my pre-pregnancy weight w/i two months. It didn't cost a thing, either! We had no car and I had to push DD in a buggy everywhere. We also had a limited food budget and were mostly vegetarians.
