What is your go to cleaning product?

I love CIF cream cleaner and Stardrops "The Pink Stuff" (miracle cleaning paste.) How about everyone else?

After years of disappointment of one 'wonder product' after another, and shit loads of plastic bottles in the process, I now make my own cleaning spray that I use for pretty much everything. Washing up liquid, vinegar, lemon essential oil and topped up with water, and it is great!

I absolutely hated Nana's Secret cleaning clay - it smelt horrible (not of lemons!) and no matter how much I wiped and rinsed it still left a nasty residue - binned!

Zoflora Linen Fresh or Twilight Garden, shake and vac but my number 1 is definitely Dr Beckman's Carpet Cleaner (with the brush attached to the bottle)

@IDoAllMyOwnStunts

Thank you all. This is the bucket I have that has caused me confusion!

@IDoAllMyOwnStunts - It looks like you have clean water in the one side then squeeze out the dirty water on the other so it doesn't contaminate your clean water so much

Koh cleaner. Every time.

We don't have a town water supply with a grey water conversion, so we can't use products with nasties. Definitely no bleach, grey water safe products only.

Koh gets the job done better than any product I have ever used.

I went into Wilkinson this morning and all the pink stuff products were out of stock!

Clearly I am late to the party Grin

@TheYearOfSmallThings I'll attach 2 pictures from today. I have a 13 year old hob with 13 year old ring stains on it. Nothing has ever shifted it. I just gave up and accepted they would always be there. I just gave it go this morning with pink stuff paste and tin foil (I've previously tried pink stuff alone to nil effect). You can see the rings have gone! I'm in shock! So yes, it works! But you may need to try it using different things to apply.
I use it mostly for getting scuff marks off the upvc front door (and any upvc windows too!), toy scuff marks off the bath, and off the plastic kallax boxes that the kids scuff with their toys too.

Yeah, pink paste is the key. It'll bring anything up like new!

Also brown dettol. Just makes everything smell clean.

I never heard of the pink stuff before reading this thread! Now I'm intrigued.

I hope this doesn't turn out like the time I tried some Method products following good reviews on here, and found the worse than useless.

Lots of the ones mentioned above, especially Pink Stuff.
Also fabric conditioner watered down in a squirty bottle with a micro fibre cloth for windows and anything needing a shine. Works like magic! Thanks to the lovely person on here who recommended it!

@Workinghardeveryday have you tried white vinegar? I put some in a bucket and submerge the shower head overnight - good as new the next day.

I should add that I use it with a dry microfibre or one of those minky sponges. It's just a quick spray and wipe but it does add a satisfying bit of shine that makes it look finished!

@userxx sorry, i've just seen your Q about the shine spray. I use it loads in the kitchen. Once i've wiped down with a general kitchen spray, i put it on the hob, tiles, microwave and oven doors.

I've got this one at the mo but i've had a Wilko's own one that did the job too!

Just joining to say I saw a trick on tiktok that I love now. Fill an oxo good grips soap dispenser brush a general liquid cleaner and keep in the shower, bath. Then each time just quick squirt and scrub and rinse. Brilliant. Got one for the kitchen as well. V good.

Pink stuff is fab. It's a tiny bit gritty though test first/ use with caution if you're not sure. If it's ok, then you can let loose and scrub away. Brilliant at reviving plastic outdoor furniture type grime.

I also bought a sonic scrubber. It's basically like a large electric toothbrush but using it and pink stuff made the runners in my shower clean. Have found it so useful for fiddly bits that are hard to clean. Think it was about £18 from Amazon.

I tend to use elbow grease as a day to day surface cleaner. Cheap and very effective. Method mint glass spray is fab for induction hob. Also love Method rubarb floor spray and I've just bought the a method rubab antibac spray for the bathroom to give it a try. For the smell mainly. I saw they also do a clementine general spray - I resisted for now as didn't need it but I'm a sucker for citrus smells so will prob try that soon!

Fabric softener in water. Tumble dryer sheets. Game changer for me! I have all white wood furniture and white faux wood blinds. This keeps the dust at bay far longer than anything else I've tried. It also works beautifully on glass and even the TV screen which I could never ever get clean!
It also stops the mirror in the bathroom steaming up when I'm in the shower.
I'm a convert!!

Additionally pink stuff paste is brilliant at removing marks from the bath (from toys!) that no other regular cleaner would remove. I also use it on the front door for all the scuff marks. And plastic storage boxes in my kallax that get marked with things that won't come off otherwise (toys seem to leave marks on these as the kids bash the fronts of the boxes with whatever plastic shite they are playing with). Oh and this week I also discovered that used with scrunched up tin foil just eats through the crap on the oven, baking trays, wire racks etc. I was amazed!!

Washing up liquid and hot water for mopping the kitchen tiles. Leaves it clean and streak free. I use a flat mop with it.

I like the pink stuff spray too for making the stainless steel shine. Although the fabric softner does it just the same if not slightly better!

Nans's Secret white clay cleaner. If you have anything you need a shine on its AMAZING! I use it on everything & nothing has beaten it yet.
