NagooI think it is a yellow thing in the sky that is making the windows need cleaner. (Lurker here, not cleaning as off work sick and no school holiday here until next week).

Break time! Done the windows and mirrors in bathroom, bedrooms, conservatory( no mirror there, just 6 square meters of sheer glass). Now for the living and bathroom. I threw my squidgy thingy blade windowy crap in the bin. I can actualy justify a really expensive one that is amazing at wiping down without smudging 6 wall to wall windows. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Congratulations to you all. Nagoo, how brilliant is that, pretend you're paying yourself!
That thing in the ski, sort of yellow, makes me NEED to wash the windows. Got loads of them! Will report back.

Don't hoover while wearing Fly boots. The stupid soles make the carpets look shit.

I've been & done the food shop & put away. Posted a parcel at PO. Hoovered throughout the house & stairs (tall skinny house, so 2 flights of stairs) unloaded & reloaded the dishwasher. Prepared dinner. Started the ironing (not finished. Hate ironing) now got to set off to nursery & school. Time goes quick when it's peaceful. More ironing & kitchen to mop later. Sighs

I am going to go round the house taking photos of all the shit DIY jobs that aren't done so I can't forget about them.

I have cleaned everywhere and still can't find the corner of the laptop that snapped off when the cat knocked it off the sofa :(

Hello can i join?

First thing i did after droping dcs at school was attack the kitchen (oh the squalor) and then the living room followed by bathroom. I feel so much better the mess by the end of the hols is so stressful!

Would have done more but dc4 seems a bit surprised at the sudden lack of people poking her and fighting over her! Now shes fallen asleep on me after a bf so guess thats the cleaning done for now!

Wednesday I will wrap gifts, clean out fish and try to tap my mum up to borrow her steamer thingy (not for fish).

There's no such thing as half term now is there, five short terms. I don't care. Every holiday is half term unless it's summer holidays or Christmas.

I shall start this tomorrow when they finally go back. Easter holidays, Goo, not half-term

You are all a bit efficient and scary, though [fearty]

I have a dog in the house for the next two weeks. Surely this means there's no point in hoovering??

I've bleached the bathroom, my eyes now hurt, but god it looks good.

I've tidied and deep cleaned four beds and hall way. ( even done the woodwork)

Cup of tea.

Off to hoover stairs.

Still to do two reception rooms. Utility, kitchen, hall, porch...never going to do it all before 3.30.

2nd load of laundry just beeped for drying (admittedly this can't slide during the holidays). My knees are crap, at the moment, so vacuuming (also daily, regardless) is DH's job, tonight.

I've tidied the boys' room after sorting out school uniform, and ordering new trousers for DS2, as out of the 3 handmedown pairs I had waiting, one pair is badly pilled, one needs hemming and the smartest pair, which DS1 only wore twice, has a stuck zip. He went to school in the pilled ones, plus a summer jacket 2 sizes too big because I hadn't ordered him a new one yet. So I've ordered him a new one of those, just the one size too big, instead.

And I need to attend to my cutlery drawer. It's been bugging me for the past week, as it's full of crumbs and dust. Off to set the dryer going, wash my lunch things and tip it all out and scrub!

Ooh brew and biscuits and flowers! Yay!

I have stripped beds and put washing on.

Downstairs looks quite shiny, still got floors to do. I hate doing the floors even when I do them the lazy person's way [nobuckets]

I need to do an online food shop as well at some point today.
