Hi
would anybody know if I remove my son whose in year 7 out of school and home educate can I still keep him on the in year application for a preferred school.
He was punched in the face and picked on in his school so he will not go back due to anxiety school has been making things easier for him reduced timetable etc .
But he still will not attend I am worried about him I don’t want to force him back there so I have decided to home educate I have looked online and there seems to be some good websites but will he still remain on waiting list for preferred school.

Yes, you can definitely do that. Home education will not affect your son's place on a waiting list.

I understand that sometimes waiting lists get cleared from time to time, so you might need to keep contacting the admissions authority (school or LA) to confirm you want him to stay on the list. I'm sure they can explain what you need to do to ensure you don't drop off the list.

I’m currently back and forth with school admission, our local school excepted my child’s place and we got declined for another. My problem is my child’s been bullied in primary school and doesn’t want to go to our loca secondary school so I’ve appealed the 2nd school and waiting for a response. How do I go about homeschooling until she gets a placement and weres best place for resources ect so she can do stuff at home?
many thanks
