Hi I wonder if anyone can give me some advice as I really don’t know what to do.
my daughter started secondary school in September. She was the only child in her school to go so she was on her own. She is very shy. By Xmas she was refusing to go to school, leading up to this she was crying every morning constantly texting when she was at school begging to come home, it was heartbreaking) the school tried to help with lots of things to try but nothing worked. I’m on maternity leave from my job as a nurse so I have been home schooling her with the help of an online school. She has improved in her work so much she used to struggle so much with maths but is doing amazingly but I sit and help her way more than a teacher could. I find it so hard especially with a baby. Her dad and me are divorced so I also have to drive an hour and a half each day picking her up etc. But I don’t know how to get her to school and I don’t want her to miss here education.
i will be going back to work in December she want to continue with home Ed but that would mean a) leaving her home which I’m not comfortable with b) she will be doing the learning package alone and c) I worry about her not having social interaction. Can anyone suggest anything? We’ve tried counselling looking at other schools but she refuses everything. She simply thinks she is better off at home. I just don’t know what to do.
