Withdrawing a child from one school

My grandson goes to two primary schools, on a morning to one for specialist speech and language development (brilliant school) and to the other on afternoons for other curricular work where he is frequently bullied. Despite several years worth of complaints the school is either unable or unwilling to act. Ideally my daughter would like my grandson to go to the good school full time but this isn't possible in the short term as further assessments of his needs would be required. The fall back plan would be to attend the good school for speech and language in the morning and educate at home in the afternoon but my daughter worries that withdrawing from one might collapse both placements. So far she has been unable to find out if this is so, even the support worker from child protection she has been speaking to is unsure.

Any advice would be most welcome.
Many thanks, Neil

Hi
If your daughter joins this Facebook group, someone there should be able to help you - it's specifically for helping out with this kind of thing.

Good luck, I hope you're able to get it sorted out

Without knowing the exact settings involved it’s impossible for anyone to say as it depends what type of placement it is, some are based on attending another school (the home school) part of the time so the placement wouldn’t be available to those wanting to EHE &/or flexischool.

The specialist placement will know. I suggest asking in writing.

Does DS have an EHCP?
