Really tempted to take the plunge and redecorate my lounge in Little Green Royal Navy. Anyone else done this? Pics or advice would be gratefully received!

We did our smaller sitting room in Benjamin Moore Old Navy . It is fab in the small room. We have white book shelves, a white mantel over the fireplace, navy sofa and orange chairs and I love it. I think it makes the room bigger.

I have and I absolutely love it. It's Pacific blue by valspar. Looks very understated and classy. I found it made the room take on a more warm and cosy mood whereas previously it was light and airy with pale walls. Can't go wrong with navy.

We also had a navy sitting room in our last house. Matched it up with white, gold and a touch of green. It looked very crisp.

I'm going navy blue in my front room but (shock horror) only doing a feature wall. I have a very old house with massive rooms, 14ft high walls and a huge bay window so lots of light and very airy. I wanted to do a massive mirror over the fireplace but can't find one I like (and can't afford one) so I'm doing one of those pictures frame and small mirror colage type things that were in a few years ago. I don't follow fashion or trends (and don't have visitors) so I don't give a fuck if it sounds shit Grin

I did have a bit of a job finding navy blue paint though and cushions/accessories, but maybe that's because I don't like spending money and I'm skint so go in cheaper shops.

Go for it OP. I'm going for a F&B stiffkey blue dining room on all four walls and the ceiling (leaving only the original cornicing in white) and I can't wait. My builder thinks I'm utterly bonkers.

motherfeeder I have farrow and ball downpipe in a few places in my house. Haven't noticed any dust issues. Its a great shade and a lot warmer than people think it will be.

Sorry to jump your thread but can I ask about dust and dark walls? I wanted to have very dark grey cupboards and the decorators said that whilst they look great to begin with, the dark colours show up dust more than lighter colours. I wonder if this applies to walls too?

gherkinsnatch I love the idea of a forest green room but I think the navy will go better with everything I have in my lounge. I am having Forrest green tiles in my kitchen (when I finally find a fitter...)

If you want to be ahead of the curve go for a deep forest green instead of blue/navy [knowing wink]
