I am driving myself mad trying to make a choice for our bedroom. We never use wallpaper just paint but DH has decided he would like a change. We have agreed to paper one wall and paint the rest even though I feel feature walls may be a little dated.

The room is west facing, with a cream carpet, white shutters and modern medium oak, clean lined furniture. I wanted a grey room originally but not sure if that works with the existing furniture etc.

We have narrowed it down to Little Greene's High Street Wisp wallpaper with the remaining walls in Welcome Deep or their Craven Street Greystone paper with Pearl on the other walls. (Will post links below as keep losing this post when I try and put links in!) I'm concerned the first will be too busy and not the right colour for the furniture and the second will be too insipid. I would welcome any thoughts and ideas you may have! Links to follow!

I agree, either one of them would be fine.

OP I have seen both papers (a bit of a wallpaper fanatic) and greystone is a lot more beautiful. The taupe in the flowers will go well with the oak wood; just add some pillows in the grey color.

The Wisp wallpaper looks a bit like something you could find anywhere. It's much less unique.

Whatever you choose will be fine.

You know what......if you can't decide, it's because you don't like either of them much.

When you see the wallpaper you want, you'll just go "yeah!"

If your wallpaper doesn't lift your spirits and make you happy when you see it, it isn't worth paying for.

Don't rush into a tepid choice. Not worth it.

Personally,at the moment, I like neisha crossland wallpapers. There are also some good fun self adhesive ones on etsy.

No I'm not sure about the grey with mid oak either! Although have been doing some googling which seems to suggest that cool greys might work. I'm not normally this indecisive about choosing paint etc but think the wallpaper has thrown me. We have never decorated a bedroom for us before. It's always the room that gets left until last and then we end up moving before we get round to it. I so want this to be right!

I also like the second option much much more. Are you sure about grey with mid-oak? I don't like cool grey against warm wood myself.
