not a massive room but largish in the world of downstairs Lois and longish and narrow. we will have the floor from the hall coning in so wood or laminate hopefully a dark colour and we will have a white loo and basin. not a lot else. I'm reluctant to go with white just cos it is easy tho.

Mocha blinds.

My downstairs loo has a wallpaper from Wallpaper Direct which looks like a padded black leather Chesterfield sofa! Go as bold or as daring as you like: you're not going to be doing your hair or makeup in there, so make it a fun/dramatic talking-point! Go large-scale too!

My downstairs loo and sink are (gasp) avocado. Now that I've finally sorted out my kitchen I will replace them soon, but in the meantime the walls are a cream and I have cream tiled splashback edged with green mosaic tiles, a green glass shelf and green mosaic mirror.

Dark grey slate tiled floor, mocha walls, splashback tiled in dark grey, mocha and slatey-blue.
Big mirror that I got mega-cheap because the corner of the frame was broken - fixed with modelling clay in 5 minutes flat.

I am in the process of painting the lower half of the walls, up to the dado, in sage green, and papering the upper walls and ceiling in photocopies of the Liverpool Echo's front page of John Lennon's death, which I'll age-stain with tea and then varnish. Something to read!

Although, I think the Americans I will ultimately sell this house to may not quite get it....

Having now reread the thread, I LOVE the idea of wallpapering with the Beano. I have a box full of retro Roy of the Rovers comics. I am so wallpapering the largest room in the boy's bathroom with them. It's double height and would look awesome!!!

It's yellow. The bath is yellow, the sink is yellow and the loo is yellow. The walls are this weird flecky wallpaper that I fear will take a year to get off and the floor is funky brown mosaic tiles.

70s Retro and proud. Well, at least until we rip it out in the next stage of the overhaul!!

My downstairs loo has white loo & basin, cream wall tiles above the basin, tiled floor in different shades of terracotta, and RED walls! There is a wooden venetian blind at the window.

It was decorated about 10 years ago when red walls were "in", but I won't change it as I love it. It's the only room in the house with such bold decor.

I have two downstairs loos, and we are definitely not la de da.! One is a wet room, grey granite effect tiles and metallic mosaic tiles, very modern but practical and easy to keep clean as this is where the dirty rugby/football playing dc go when they come in.
My other loo is just hand basin and loo, it's papered in powder blue and off white Laura Ashley paper.

white loo/sink etc. Dark grey walls and black/white prints (well it will be when it is finished). At the moment it has 2 lots of dark grey strips where I have been colour testing and the prints are piled up on the window sill. Also an invasion of Daddy Longlegs...where the hell have they all come from?!

We don't have one in this house but did have one in our previous house. It was a teeny room so I tiled it white at the bottom with white tiled floor then used a pale(ish) pink on the top to brighten it up and make it more cheerful. Don't really know why I bothered as nobody ever wanted to use it! Miss it now though Sad

No books in mine, they'd get damp.

There is a sledge, a bike rack, a bin of animal feed and my icy tek.

Yeah I've been collecting old copies of books so I don't use my own! I ought to get down to it and do it.

I had book pages in my loo in my old house.
Normal wallpaper paste, old books from charity shop, easy to do but a bit of a faff as its so many individual bits.
One was a book of random facts/funny true stories and you could hear visitors chuckling when they were in there.
