I want to hire a caravan for a weekend. Is this possible?

I believe most caravan sites only hire out caravans on a weekly basis. What a pity, since the caravan experience is a childhood must. Does anyone know of caravans on hire for a fri/sat night only?

Not fussy about the dates or even the place - we will have a car so we can travel around. I am thinking of somewhere along the Kent/sussex/essex coast. I just fancy a short, inexpensive break with my dh and sons somewhere by the seaside.

Can anyone help?

Tigermoth, I don't know if this will be helpful. Go to any travel agents and pick up brochures for Haven, Park homes, Bourne leisure, Hoseasons and British holidays. They all have caravans for hire.
Oh dear. I hope this isn't advertising, honest, I don't work for them.

thanks SueW. That's such a useful link. I've just looked up the site(your park looks lovely)and spoke to a representative.

But isn't it frustrating that you can't get a 2-night break? The prices out of the Easter holiday period seem reasonable, but I think I'll try doing a last-minute booking (2 weeks before we want to leave) in order to get that 66% discount!

If anyone knows of individual caravan sites that offer weekend breaks, please let me know.

We stayed here last summer for Mon-Fri. They seem to do weekend breaks (I searched on going away this weekend as an example) but you have to phone for details and prices - the minimum number of nights I could get was 3 starting on a Friday on the internet search.

It's a great caravan park which, as it says, has direct access to the promenade and from there to the beach. DD and my niece, both 5.5yo at the time, had a ball. We didn't use the cub facilities at all. There's a big Sainsburys about a mile up the road so easy to get supplies.
