Has anyone been to one of these hotels and would recommend them? Would like to be on the beach if at all possible and with half board. Our children are 4 and 8.

Haven't got the brochure as you can tell.

Hotel President in Portinatx Ibiza. We went last August with dd aged 2 who has cerebral palsy so can not walk unaided. The beach is a 2 min walk down a steep hill but its well worth it.The beach is a cove and is shallow for quite a while and really safe to swim-very few waves!WE had to drag dd out of the water at 6 pm most nights in order to use the fabulous facilities at the hotel.contact me again if you want more info but we would definetly go again..

The Natura Palace Hote in Playa Blanca Lanzarote is a lovely hotel with great childrens facilities - mini club, disco, outdoor play area, own pool and great food. Not a superfamily hotel though. IMHO superfamily hotels are over-run with children and there are far better 'fussy-family' hotels with childrens facilities available. That said, I do remeber someone saying the Bonaire apartotel in Cala Bona Majorca (4*) was particularly good.

We went to Lanzarote last year, Playa Flamingo Apartments, and it was brilliant, right on a lovely sandy beach, newly refurbished two storey apartments looking out of the sea to Fuerteventura, selection of restaurants on the promenade, all of whom did their whole menu as takeaway. Supermarkets choice of 4. Evening entertainment, kids clubs, pool activities etc.etc.

I believe they do half board, although I heard last year it wasn't up to much.

Anyway, in a nutshell, we enjoyed it so much we are going back again this year !! they are doing some good deals at the moment with free kids places.
