Spain PCR for teens

We're due to go to Tenerife for the October break woo hoo Smile.
I'm torn between being organised and booking DS 15 PCR slot now for the test that's required 72 hrs before departure, or wondering if the Spanish rules will relax between now and mid October, in the same way that the UK rules have relaxed.

Anyone got any thoughts or inside knowledge on this please ?

Thanks @mercimacherie I'm definitely going for the express PCR test for going out as want to be sure it comes back in time.

@rookiemere
We travel to Spain on Friday and I've only just ordered DD's PCR test so you'll be fine to wait until 7-10 days before.

I wish I'd ordered a bit sooner though as I could have got a Randox PCR for £43 (4-6 days for delivery) rather than the £75 I've had to pay to get one in time.

I'd definitely wait until just before you go to order the day 2 tests as they're due to change to lateral flow.

I have text and email proof … but apparently Spain doesn’t accept the immunity certificate Sad

Do you still have proof of the positive tests? Some countries accept recovery from covid, within the last six months, as proof that you don't have it.

No inside knowledge I’m afraid but blatantly placemarking as we are also (hopefully) going to Tenerife in half term.

I am so confused by the changing rules I haven’t properly explored it all yet.

We have the added complication of all three DC (14, 13 and 13) having had Covid in the last two months so I am paranoid their PCRs will come back positive and scupper us.

Does anyone have any good news stories about negative PCRs after recent Covid..?
