Seville (and Madrid?) in November

Hi,
Thinking of going to Seville in November with DH and DC for a long birthday weekend. We have never been to Seville but it looks gorgeous! Not looking for a culturally heavy weekend, as with the DC so need to find a perfect balance, but definitely visiting the main sights and hopefully enjoying some autumn sunshine!
Now wondering if we should go for just 2 nights/3 days in Seville (late return flight option) or for 5 nights (with a more comfortable return flight time but more expensive of course)...would there be enough to see and do? Should we perhaps consider taking the train to Madrid, and spending a couple of days there? Or somewhere else closer to Seville...?
Grateful for any suggestions!

Madrid can be damp and a little chilly in November.

I prefer to go in May or September for nice sunny dry days.

Thank you, looking up your suggestions now to see which would be best suited for us, unfortunately I'm not familiar with the area Blush...yet! Grin
Good point about Malaga as an alternative airport, looking into that too as well as accommodation...

Loads to see and do, I stayed 5 days and could easily have stayed more. You can also get the train to Cordoba for a day trip, only takes about 45 minutes each way.

If you did want to split the stay between 2 places (which does mean you ' lose' most of 1 day due to the travel and packing, changing accommodation etc) then I would rather go for Seville + Grenada or Cadiz or Malaga. Could also fly into one and out of another, Malaga usually cheapest and more flight options.
