bed and breakfast accommodation

I am travelling abroad and have booked a bed and breakfast for a few days. I have emailed to tell them that I will be travelling from abroad and from the UK. Someone said to me that it is not necessary for me to mention that I am travelling from the UK. I just thought I would mention it. What does anyone else think. The people running the bed and breakfast have no idea where I am coming from so I just thought I would mention not only am I coming from abroad but where I am coming from

I might on occasion give them an estimate on time of arrival if I am flying - especially if check-in times seem strict and there's a chance I''m outside of them. However, I don't think it's necessary to tell them you are from the UK

I think it is nice to tell them where you are from. What's wrong with being a bit friendly?

Unless they've requested the information in advance then I wouldn't think to email.

Why do YOU think they'd need to know that?
