DD has had mocks the last couple of weeks so missed out on a load of online university open days.

Do you think theres a chance real, live ones will run after the summer? Unfortunately we didnt register for campus tours and notice that many are now booked up in July/August

@Comefromaway

Ds is autistic and getting the feel of a place is vital for him in choosing where to apply.

Online open days just do not cut it for him. It's going to be a rush though with places he is interested in being as far afield as Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and London

Same. Have you came across any that seem to have more autism support?

I did ours online at the end of June. No plans made for September yet - no commitment made. We have the dates but don't know how we'll deliver them.

I really REALLY hope we open up the campus again. It's a part of my job I really love and it's so important. Nothing can really be an adequate substitute for actually visiting.

Keep an eye out for small scale tours and showrounds - we'll be having loads of those this year. And individual departments may offer personal independent visits. I do those in our Department - drop them an email and ask.

Our university was planning face to face Open Days in the autumn, but we have now been told to prepare to do all of these online.
We are doing face to face weekly campus tours that students can book onto and will be doing these all the way through the summer and autumn.

I really hope so too. We are planning just visiting some places over the summer break just to get a feel in case there aren't any.

Sorry if that sounded rude. Wasn't meant to. Despair!

I hope so, I really do. But sadly no crystal ball.
