Hi - has anyone any suggestions on how to find a home for some koi? We have about 20 - at least 10 are large and pedigree. But need to shut pond down.

Not worried about ££ but want them to go to a good home and other than eBay can't work out where you advertise them.

Thanks

I asked on my local Facebook community page, lots of people with ponds round here. Found someone with a lake just round the corner.

I know my fil would be keen, he's had a heron pinching all of his!

You need to get a proper fish moving company in to re-home them or they will likely die. The need proper transportation, oxygen in the bags etc. To be caught as stress free as possible. If you don't know of anyone who would take them the RSPCA will apparently. Please take care about where you send them, they are live animals and their welfare needs taking into consideration like you would any other living creature.

Look and see if there is someone running an aquatic maintenance service in your area. I have someone come do my fish tank once a month and he's always transporting fish and coral. He actually brought all of mine from someone closing down a tank. He transported 50 koi for a garden centre recently!

I would speak to your local pond experts about where to re-home, please, please don't just stick them on eBay or any of those sites.

Hi Zoey, if still required we can look into assisting you with your koi. We transport in aerated vats and can remove anything pond related if required. We have large ponds to home them in

thanks
