Sensible book on puberty for a 13 year old boy?

My DS is 13 - young for his age and year, but being exposed to all sorts of sexist chat and attitudes via his friends. Enough material for a whole other thread but I digress.

Anyway, I'm noticing loads of really great looking books aimed at girls appearing on the market (which I plan to buy for my younger dds). Other than a book I bought him at primary school ("What's happening to me?"), though, I can't see anything for boys.

What I'd really like to find is a book that looks at:

  • puberty (with no gender nonsense)
  • being respectful to girls / discussion of misogyny (hence posting in this topic)
  • porn (which I'm sadly beginning to think is unavoidable) with the above in mind

Can anyone help?

I've had a similar problem as well, my DS is coming up 14 abs days very little about the chat at school so I'm not sure what he is facing or experiencing but I want him prepared.

I have just given up How to Grow Up by Dr Ranj Singh, it's definitely aimed at the younger teenage market but it's directed at boys and covers a wide range of topics in sensible way so I think it's a great first book into navigating the teen years.

Also - just to clarify- he's already going through puberty, of course, and gets the basics. I suppose what I mean rather than a book about puberty, is a book about navigating the teenage years if that makes sense.
