I don’t know what to say except sad but true and WHEN will this shit stop? I am scared for world my 10 year old DD will be growing up in. Funnily enough I’m not worried for 7 year old DS. Even at this young age I look at my children and think one has more advantages than the other just because of biology.

I found the comments from women on that article particularly depressing. Being insulted because it states they are vulnerable and the weaker sex. This is really where equality has gone wrong, in making (especially young women) feel that they actually are equal in every way. It's lovely that some women feel that way, but don't shit on other women who know from experience that this isn't true.

I think it's also the reason why so many people don't understand the single sex sports issue. Women think they are equal and unless you play or follow a sport, you don't realise that in most sports women are not equal and the disparity is quite stark.

It won't ever stop.

I am full of rage and sadness and despair this week.

This the same Guardian that said the WiSpa incident was either not a problem or right-wing religious hoax?

ConfusedConfusedConfused

Their critical thinking skills are fucked.

Yep thats right.

Women are at risk from, and should always be wary of, predatory men... Except if that predatory man identifies as a woman, in which case women are just awful, bigoted, right wing Karens.

Got it.

I can't see any comments. Do you need a subscription to be able to access these?

@MarieIVanArkleStinks

I read the article on their FB page the other day, there were comments on that.

@SusannaM - I'll take a look there. Thank you very much!

@MarieIVanArkleStinks

I've had a quick look and couldn't find it again, but the search function on my app is hopeless and admittedly I got a bit waylaid by Daniel Craig's interview Blush

So fed up, having to try and explain the reality of the world to my wonderfully naive eleven year old dd. Why she can’t walk around at night by herself. Still a year until secondary and thinks I’m just sexist and ageist for pointing out how vulnerable she is.
