Wow sanity! I think it is very thought provoking for me. For that alone, I can forgive him for his somewhat lacklustre campaign for Remain. Though I strongly believe that the Labour MPs from those areas should go first as they massively failed their constituents and did not convey them to be whole of Labour Party. THey failed in sneezing how big a problem this was.

Now that would be very interesting indeed, Sanity.

Well I know that, but why open them in the first place. Just to have a pop at the op
If I think a thread is HmmBiscuit or FFS worthy. I just don't have anything to do with it. I wouldn't dream of coming opening up a thread just to be rude to someone

"I'm fed up of hiding threads like this".
Erm. Why open them then. I don't see anyone forcing you to do so.
And. It's not as though the title is misleading.

No I won't sign.

It's getting ridiculous. Soon there will be petitions about whether or not to have a petition!

I'm angry that there's more comeback for a company that lies about the properties of the face cream it's trying to sell me, than there is for politicians (on all sides) trying to get my vote to run the country.

All electoral promises or statements should be subject to Trading Standards or the ASA.

Maybe the media could think about their headlines as well. When is a lie a lie or just not 'giving the full details but a little soundbite'

The Express headline is not a lie. It just doesn't mention the poll is Express readers.

The problem is also humans. There is human bias system that we probably all buy into to some degree where we want to believe things that fit our view of the world.

What on earth is the point of moaning about threads you don't like? What do you expect to achieve? It's not as if there aren't hundreds of other threads on MN you can read.

All politicians lie, it's a sad fact of life. They don't think you deserve to know the truth because they don't think you would agree with it. You think they should represent you whereas the reality is they have their own agenda and don't care about you as a voter.

No chance of this lot seeing the inside of a court room whilst Tony Blair waltzes around free.

I have read that the whole mess in the Labour Party is due to the fact that Corbyn is waiting Chilcott report to come out, to see if Blair can be taken to The Hague for war crimes. The Blairites (eg Hilary Benn) have forced this vote of no confidence to try to stop this from happening. This is why Corbyn is hanging on by the skin of his teeth.

Maybe they all just thought he could have campaigned more strongly for Remain, but then, why would he be hanging on now, if that were the case?

and the 'remain' side did not lie and manipulate then
and of course all 'leave' voters are thickos and didn't understand
how could they have a concrete plan when the exit from the eu is a complex negotiation not a quick 'find the exit door'. I would far sooner they got it right before agreeing any terms Shock
do give it a rest!

There's an interesting thread somewhere about how very strict the laws are in Eire are to prevent exactly this mass manipulation through lying this sort of thing.

How many more of these ludicrous threads will there be. I'm sick of hiding them too.

Signed. However don't forget, in law. There is always one rule for the rich and
upper /middle class and one for the working/lower class.
It's actually quite coincidental to come across this thread as me and dd were having this conversation just the other day
I honestly can't believe how much you've been put down on this thread. I assume all the posters being down right rude to you are NF and BJ's best mates. Poo pooing your idea but 53,000+ have signed it, so. It can't be that "pathetic".
