Best indoor camera system to check on parent?

My dad had his second hip replacement and was sent from the hospital to a care home. He wants to come home now and SS will put 4 care visits a day in place. He has capacity so can make the decision.
Of course, this relies on me supporting him for the other 22 hours a day with finances, shopping, checking on scams he's been called about, responding to the emergency pendant etc. It's been assumed I will do this - no-one has asked.
I've told him I want a camera system indoors so I can check if he has pressed the pendant by accident (he does this frequently) and not have to go over there every time. It's about 2 miles so not far but it's a faff at 3am or if I am not at home.
Anyone use a camera system for this and which one do you use?

Netvue looks good thanks @pokebowl I use Eufy myself, at home, but they are outdoor cameras and quite expensive. I resent the monthly charges with Ring.

Yeah the good thing about Netvue is for live camera you don't need to subscribe. That's only for recording (I think it gave me an initial 3 month free trial with recording but I let that lapse).

We used an EZVIZ camera system in, and it worked really well.

Both DP & SIL had access.

We put one over the front & back doors and in the living room, it worked well & very discrete.

We used indoor ring cameras in my mums house, stuck high up near the ceiling so she could not mess with them!

Would he wear an Apple Watch 24-7? They have a fall alert on it.

I use Netvue cameras, easy to set up and quite cheap. Need decent Wi-Fi but that will be the case for all.

Thanks for the idea user18 but he can't hear the pendent people talking to him and I tried Alexa but he couldn't understand the voice. I need to see he is physically OK and then let the pendent people know.

Not a camera but you could do it with an alexa (amazon dot) so that you can just drop in and speak to him over the speaker
