eBay

When buyers follow you from Vinted to eBay or vice versa

That's happened to me twice in the space of 2 days now!

Buyer 1 ,makes low offer on Vinted, I reject and then the very same buyer ends up buying the same item I've listed on eBay rather than buying the asking price on Vinted.

Potential buyer 2 makes low offer on Vinted for an already discounted BNWT item, I reject and then they message a couple of times before telling me they will just get it elsewhere for full price. I block and they turn up on eBay a couple of minutes later with the same offer. I haven't responded and don't intend to.

I suppose the same people looking for something specific for a bargain price would be looking at both eBay and Vinted, but will it cost them more to buy at the same asking price on Vinted? I think I've only bought one or two things from Vinted a while back, as I usually just sell there.

Postage insurance is added on Vinted?
They also don’t get the same buyer protection and it can be sent to a locker, rather than their home address.

Better protections through ebay/paypal then vinted.

I've recently bought something for £70 on vinted, exact same person has listed the same item on ebay for £120.
If ebay had been the same price I would 100% have bought them through ebay/paypal.
But it was worth a risk to buy through vinted for £40 off.

Also, items over £30 you could do paypal pay in 3 through ebay, but not vinted, so they can spread the cost.

Thanks both. I did think it was a but strange with them paying full price on eBay but not Vinted, but that's cleared it.

From a sellers point of view, even though I'll get 100% of the sales through Vinted, my item is less likely to sell if it's high value and on eBay at the same price or even more.
