Second chance offer

So I was bidding on a pair of trousers and was outbid therefore I didnt win the item. I got an email from Ebay to say I hadn't won and at exactly the same time, I got sent a second chance offer from the seller. Is that not a tad suspicious or am I being cynical

sounds very dodgy - look at the bidding history of the item - you can click on the winning bidder and see how many of this sellers items they have bid on. You can report for shill bidding.

Yeah it sounds like the seller was up bidding (using a different username obviously) but then you didn't bid higher.

I've had this before.

I declined the second chance offer (because I'm evil and wanted to punish them for cheating )

I would speak to the seller and ask why you were offered a second chance offer so quickly. If your gut instinct is telling you not to buy I wouldn't
