Anecdotally I took the homeopathic remedy thuja in a bid to get rid of some varuccas which seemed to very quickly shift my lingering covid symptoms. Still got the varuccas though!

Lindens do a super complex vitamin B. Look on eBay. Green & white pack. Higher dosage than a normal multivitamin. Good for headaches & fatigue. Also second the vitamin d.

libbytrois · 30/06/2022 20:14

As soon as i got covid I started with high dose vit c with zinc , vit d with k2. Was also going to take magnesium but didn't. Manuka honey and lemon taken at night. Going to keep up with vitamins now . Less than 2 weeks ago tested positive.

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 30/06/2022 20:20

The first thing I was told was to look after your gut health because it's your gut that has to process the vitamins and minerals.

My friend had a lymphatic massage and two days later she could smell again after months of not being able to.

libbytrois · 30/06/2022 21:17

Interesting @Hillsmakeyoustrong any recommendations for keeping good gut Heath? Can't face kimchi...

SmileyPiuPiu · 30/06/2022 21:20

Perfectlystill · 30/06/2022 21:28

CoQ10 is very good for tiredness after covid - I get the mega dose one from Boots and it's really good.

Also I get Optibac Women which is brilliant. And Symprove.

Hiheyho · 01/07/2022 08:29

Did you see the results? My gp used to say fine for a long time whilst I was iron deficient and it was ruining my life

I was prescribed two products. Digestive Aid by Viridian and Optibac Every Day. I also bought one called GI Tract by Cytoplan. It depends on your individual needs but look them up. They are well regarded.

@Hillsmakeyoustrong

Wow you were prescribed cytoplan?? Thats brill! Its one of the better companies and pricey

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 02/07/2022 14:21

Not on the NHS!! I wish!! It was a private functional medicine nutritionist. I was using her because of chronic fatigue which is a lot like long covid.

HairyKitty · 02/07/2022 14:24

I’ve found quality cbd oil unfairly low dose surprisingly useful

JemimaTheClimber · 02/07/2022 14:33

@Hillsmakeyoustrong have you found anything to help your chronic fatigue? I have that from endometriosis and currently have covid. I am terrified about how I will be afterwards. I am on a multi-vit described as designed to support immunity, bone health, energy metabolism. It has omega 3 plus I top up the vit D and have done since finding out about that and covid so years now.

HairyKitty · 02/07/2022 14:41

I have experienced zero benefit from supplements for long Covid fatigue/cfs but noticeable improvement in the severe post exertional malaise with quality cbd oil at 5mg a day.

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 02/07/2022 16:19

@JemimaTheClimber so interesting about the endometriosis and CFS. I have endo as well and have always suspected they were linked as my CFS symptoms would worsen around a period. Although I know that to be true for CFS sufferers without endo. The coil has really helped me on this issue although I had to wait 6 months for it to settle and I did nearly give up. A high quality liquid vitamin D was a game changer for me (I felt less viral). If you PM me I'm happy to share some other things so I don't derail the thread as CFS symptoms vary hugely x

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 02/07/2022 16:22

Calming the nervous system down has been key. Coming off caffeine and other stimulants for 3 months helped as well. I drink caffeine now I'm proved but I try to drop it if I'm going though a low patch.

Acaseofthemondays · 02/07/2022 16:59

Absolutely yes to calling the nervous system.

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 02/07/2022 18:00

A calm nervous system allows your body to recover whilst chronic stress and things like adrenal fatigue means your body doest breath properly, even when you sleep.
