I've had a cough for 2 weeks, breathless episodes (not continual but increased use of ventolin inhaler).

Phoned GPs to see if I could get a preventer inhaler, he told me I needed to ring 111, so did. They went through their processes, gave me an appointment with OOH which they then phoned back and cancelled.

Then dr phoned me back and told me to go to a and e and tell them 111 had sent me . Got there and there is posters sending you to a pod, off I trot. Nobody answers, spot a paramedic and a nurse who go off in search of someone, whole time I'm outside in the cold and rain for 30 minutes. Only to be sent home as they are now only swabbing those actually admitted to hospital. Why is there so much confusion between different areas in the nhs?

Please understand I'm not knocking the nhs staff at all you are amazing people but the fact there are so is so much confusion it is frustrating.

I'm still not sure if I should be self isolating or can carry on as normal?
