Why haven't the media

Had any reports from /interviews with folk who've had cv and gotten better? I haven't seen anyone saying, I had cv, I felt like this, it lasted about this long and now I feel better. Or have I missed them??

The media only want to hear of people getting terribly ill and maybe dying as that is what sells newspapers etc.

A story about someone picking up a virus and getting better is too much of a mundane event.

Because that wouldn't fuel the ridiculous hysteria. I wish they could be sued for the fewr mongering and ridiculousness they have and continue to cause.

I found a positive experience of mild coronavirus here. It would be nice to hear about a few more 'mild' cases

Only 18 people in Britain have been confirmed as recovered.

I dare say that as number of those getting better rises, there will be some who are happy to be interviewed.

I'm not suggesting that people are forced to give their stories, but given how folk seem to jump at the chance of doing sad faced stories over the littlest thing I'm surprised more haven't appeared (not talking about just UK cases)

I have wondered this too OP, particularly as there have now been so many cases in Italy and no reports from sufferers or medical staff of what they experienced. Usually people are keen to tell their stories and media are very keen to hear it.

Patient confidentiality! You can't name people and you can't force people to come forward. Quite a stressful time, I wouldn't want to be pestered by the media for the sake of the curious public either. Is it not enough that the Chief Medical officer cites that the majority of people with have mild flu-like symptoms? That is pretty descriptive.

I would assume they want to have a level of privacy with regards to their health - most people do. They don't want their name googled, their children, their other family members bothered, talked about. You just have to look at some of the posts on some threads on here to see why people would rather not have their name in the public realm.
