Anyone had a success story with bleeding early pregnancy?

I had a bleed last week, very small but it had red blood in it so I had examinations and scans and all looked ok but I was only 5+3 at the time so not much they could tell me.

I’ve got another scan booked tomorrow where I’ll be 6+6 and I’ve been bleeding since my last one. It’s mainly been brown discharge and some days you’d really have to be looking to see it. But because it’s been every day it has me very disheartened.

Then this morning I had lots of pink discharge which has since turned brown. It’s all minimal technically, it’s only there when I wipe. I’m trying to be positive just because there’s not point putting myself through trauma twice but I just feel like it’s not going to be good news is it?

I had some pink an brown bleeding early on and it turned out ok.
I think if it’s still a brownish colour it’s probably old blood - maybe left over from an implantation bleed or a bit of bruising around the cervix. That what they said to me.

I hope all goes well.

Good luck OP. I bled early on in both pregnancies. One worked out ok but the other didn’t… it can feel very much like a lottery in the early stages tbh. Flowers

Had very similar experiences twice including a little red blood. First pregnancy is now a lively
toddler and I’m 14 weeks with the other. Fingers crossed for a good result at your next scan.

I had a very heavy, bright red bleed at 7 weeks. Was convinced I was miscarrying. Had a scan and all was fine, it appeared they could see two areas not close to the baby that were bleeding. I carried on bleeding until about 12 weeks. Baby is not 2 1/2. It’s quite common to bleed during pregnancy and they don’t always know why. Good luck x

Thank you very much everyone! This gives me a glimmer of hope I need to at least be able to sleep.

I didn’t bleed with my first pregnancy but I’ve since had hyperthyroidism so it could be something to do with the hormone imbalance.

My instinct is just that it’s that and everything is fine. But my brain knows all the facts and stats. It’s a horrible waiting game/lottery isn’t it

I had bright red blood at 12 weeks with DS. They didn't know why just said it sometimes is one of those things and it's more common than you think. Sometimes it's something simple like cervical irritation. He's 3 now 🥰.

16+5 with babies 2&3 and around 7 weeks had pink discharge and like you only when I wiped and small spots on the tissue. Had a scan at 8 weeks and they're doing well 🥰.

I also didn’t bleed during the first one so found it worrying. The nurse said in her experience cramping and bleeding happens more often after the first, perhaps because the uterus has stretched and contracted down again it’s a bit more sensitive and fragile.

Please contact your GP because the bleeding needs to be checked.
I too experienced early bleeding during my pregnancy and it turned out to be a large fibroid. Didn't even know that I had one!
Despite this alarming event I had a healthy baby .
But, please seek advice from a health professional like your GP or Practice Nurse.
Hope all goes well

I bled for 7 days at 5 weeks pregnant with second daughter. Also bad backache. Called doctor, told me to let nature take its course, nothing they could do.
It was like a heavy period and I was convinced that I’d miscarried.
I continued to experience same pregnancy symptoms as with first daughter so did a test a week later and the number of weeks on test had increased so I knew my HCG levels were rising.
At 7 weeks I had a private scan and they found a heartbeat.
At 10 weeks I had a private harmony test and baby was fine.
Worried throughout the whole pregnancy but healthy daughter born 12 weeks ago.
Its so hard but try and stay positive as it doesn’t always end in miscarriage.
Good luck x

I had a subchorionic hematoma so I had a number of heavy bleeds from around 4 weeks pregnant until 12 weeks pregnant. Was convinced it was a miscarriage but it just never ended and we had to go for regular scans at the epau. Now 23 weeks along, the hematoma has resolved itself and fingers crossed everything so far is OK.
