Hi ladies,

I would love some of your opinions/stories on this subject.

I took a pregnancy test yesterday completely on the whim as they had just arrived in the post (I knew it would be a very high chance it would be negative) as I was only 6dpo, 7dpo today.

I was shocked when I saw a faint line! Shock

If you could let me know your thoughts on this one that would be fab.

I took another this morning and again it's another v v v faint line

Thanks x

@Coocoochill

How did your test turn out? Was it your BFP?

Hi ladies!

1 month on..

I'm around 9DPO. AF due Saturday.

This month I've had a relaxed approach and I haven't even tracked my days ect.

I've taken a test this afternoon on a first response.

Could this be a BFP?!

I’m not TTC but was where you ladies are many moons ago. I still love looking at tests and it takes me right back to staring at them in different lights, keep going back to them etc.

Just to maybe help you stop agonising too early - from the moment of conception (which isn’t necessarily the day you dtd, and sometimes not immediately after the egg pops) it takes 5 days for the cells to become a blastocyst, at which point the implantation process begins. The blastocyst starts burrowing itself a spot on the uterine lining and starts growing little blood vessels to anchor it on. This is also the point at which hcg starts being produced by the embryo. It takes a few days for this to reach detectable levels. 10dpo is testing early, although you can get a positive then. So as tempting as it is (strike tempting, irresistible) try to hold off because quite simply the science doesn’t support early testing.

Prior to implantation the blastocyst floats/rolls around the spongy lining, as the cell division accelerates, until it reaches the point of development at which it can attempt implantation. The hcg process (which is in place for the first trimester, until the placenta begins supporting the pregnancy) is initiated at implantation.

I’m an IVF mummy who read far too much on her 5 year journey!

Gl all

@Luc1992 sorry to hear that. But like you said you have a month ahead of you to prepare. Make the most of eating what you like and sleeping comfortably 😊

I agree, all tests are most accurate after a missed period and you’re not there yet. Best of luck x

I'm trying to take my mind off the factI'm only 7dpo so I inverted your tests. Definitely a line on the 2nd test. You must still be quite early to test so keeping my fingers crossed for you x

I also see a line on the bottom test - does it have colour and as previous poster asked how many dpo are you now? Have you tried inverting the pic of the IC? X

@Luc1992 sorry to see the FRER came back negative but maybe it’s still too early? I can see the line on the IC so keeping fingers crossed for you!
