Hi all

So hubby and me have decided to come off depo and try for our first! We have 3 children between us but will be our first together.

Only day 2 after my depo was due and already suffering period pain type tummy ache.

I would love to speak to others who are in the same boat as me.

Just thought I would check in with you all. Anyone had any luck? I've still not seen AF Angry

Really frustrating. I just want us to magically fall pregnant now and not go through heartache and disappointment.

It'll happen soon I think. I had No signs at all for months. But the month I started again I could feel it coming iyswim. I had a bit of a 'shit what am I doing' moment earlier, thinking that I could actually get pregnant again this month. Although I'm not sure it's likely as it took me 2 years before, but you never know!

It's frustration though isn't it?

Nope, zilch, nada!!

I've had a few days where I have had severe cramps but nowt happened.

Got excited end of last week when I had a bit of mucusy blood but that's it. Getting bored now. X

Any update Groundhog? We amazingly managed to did on ov day yesterday. Assuming my cycle is back to normal, which is unlikely.....

Hi groundhog, well I thought mine was a bit half hearted but it is full on a today. Agree, it's the only time you look forward to it!

Morning all. Now 2 weeks without depo. Had cramps for the first week off but that settled down but woke up this morning with a massive tummy ache, real period pain sort. Hope it comes to something (who would have thought I would have been wishing AF on myself!)

Ah I see. Good cry does us all the world of good.

Oh no didn't explain myself very well....... Baby had an uncharacteristicly screamy afternoon. I wasn't coping with that well and cried. Then got af which explain ed it. First one since having my son so its a good thing!

I'm only a week off my injection so just having af will feel like a bfp! Can't even really say we are ttc yet as you need to ovulate to be able to conceive. Sad

Yes I am op, finally worked out how to personalise instead of being random numbers!

Gutted for you lotta. Breaks your heart when you have a positive gut feeling. However just think of the joy when we get the bfp! X

Groundhog are you the op? Different name. Anyhoo - af arrived! Cried a lot today, felt like i wasn't coping well. Wondered wtf was going on.....then it all became clear. Hormones.

Definitely!

Not buying OPKs or symptom spotting is one thing, but I think I'd find it very hard not to read the forum. It's a good pass-time unfortunately...

I agree that looking through forums can fuel the obsession.

Report
Sparrowlegs248 · 04/03/2016 07:29

ask it does indeed. I wasn't too obsessed but was reading on here daily (which fuels it i think) but had given up really when i got my Bfp.

Wow FemaleDilbert I'm envious that you got pregnant that quickly. Wow! Hope for us all yet then!!

Unfortunately groundhogday79 I'm already obsessed & doing OPKs & got an app Blush however this is the last month - they say it happens when you don't try, so that's what I'm trying next... We'll see Hmm

ask yes my cycle was incredibly regular. Short at 24 days. I had one 25 and one 27 in two years.

groundhog I too was determined not to get obsessed. I did eventually buy opk but didn't use them still in the bathroom cupboard I did sometimes feel that i wasntt putting enough effort in compared to others on the boards here. I strongly recommend NOT to test early!

It's nice to know I'm not alone. I don't want to go down the road of charting and temp taking or else I think I would get a bit obsessed!

I came off depo at xmas a few years ago and was pregnant by March - it doesn't always take a long time

groundhogday79 · 03/03/2016 20:02

I'm just a tad impatient and at 36 feeling old. Hmm

Report
AskPrayHope · 03/03/2016 19:27

Can I ask, was your cycle regular when it did come back?

I'm 25 years & was on it for about 2 years... I just don't want to wait too long for my BFP. If I could go back I would have never ever gone on it Sad

Sparrowlegs248 · 03/03/2016 19:13

Good luck btw. I am hoping to get af back soon and ttc #2.

Hopefully it Will be quicker for you. I had some initial hormone tests after 6 months of no period which were ok but had no idea if i was ovulating once af started. I had my first fertility appointment three days before my Bfp. Had only dtd twice that month on days 8 + 10. So not at all textbook!

I would say I've been on it for 4 years. It's been just over a week since my jab was due and my tummy has only just settled down. I'm expecting the long haul but time isn't on my side. I'm 37 this year and if it takes 12 months to come out of my system I could be 38 by the time I fall.

Clearly got all those dates wrong by a year.....
