I'm back on the forums after having 'timed-out' to just chill.
Mc back in June and was beginning to feel like I was losing it.
So I relaxed. Enjoyed life a little.
Then it caught me off guard. AF late.
After waiting since Wednesday I finally bought a test today thinking to test tomorrow morning. A 10euro test!
Now very light bleeding.

So sorry to hear of your loss Hayley. Do give yourself some time to grieve for your baby, i know you're still pregnant but being told you're expecting twins means you start making plans (even if just in your head) for 2. I guess you have very mixed emotions now - happy to know one's doing well but so sad that the other didnt make it.

Like pixie you're now past the riskiest period so here's hoping for a healthy pregnancy now with a happy outcome.

I went for a 2nd private scan yesterday & unfortunately twin 2 wasn't strong enough and didn't make it. Twin 1 is doing really well and we got to hear the heartbeat.
Its a really strange feeling because I don't feel the same as my MC in September because I'm still pregnant but have still lost 1. I'm really upset but am trying to focus on the fact that I still have 1 healthy baby and that in itself is a blessing.
In a way I wish I hadn't gone for an early scan, as if I hadn't and would have just waited for my 12 week one I would have never have known I had 2 to start with.

Where I am a private scan costs £75 during the week or £90 at weekends, I had a voucher so got it for £60

Pixie so happy to hear your news, many congratulations and keeping everything crossed for you. Getting past 8 weeks is a really good sign.
Also congrats to hayley and mabel, fingers crossed for you as well. I lost twins last year so hoping you have a better outcome hayley, mine were identical and sharing a sac i believe which makes them high risk as one cant survive without the other. You mentioned that yours are in separate sacs so i dont think you have this risk. Really hope everything is ok with both little ones.

Ruth, a private scan can cost between £50 and £100, either at a clinic or by paying a private consultant. As well as being able to get an earlier scan, i found it more comforting as they will spend longer with you and you can also generally get an appointment at short notice and at more convenient times eg evenings and weekends.

Even after 2 MMC's, i couldnt get an early scan on the NHS although i think this may vary dependent on what area you are living in. With DS, i had 2 private scans, one at 6 weeks and one at 9 weeks as i needed that reassurance. I saw the consultant who had done both my ERPC's as he did private appointments at the NHS hospital in the evenings.

ruth I had my first mc at 6 weeks - light bleeding that got progressively worse on a Wednesday - I was booked for a scan at the local EPU on the Friday - by that time I had lost all the baby, the scan confirmed this. I fell pg with my 2nd mc I called the EPU and was booked in for a 6 week scan straightaway (luckily my local EPU offers early reassurance scans that you can self refer to) my third was an mmc again picked up at an early scan - each time I have had no midwife involvement.

Four weeks ago I got another bfp and have been worried about going for a scan as they always give me bad news :( but this time there was a heartbeat and she confirmed 8+2 :) I was told I will have another dating scan at 12 wks but if I feel anxious I can give them a call at any time and go in for another scan - unfortunately other ladies on here will tell you they are not so lucky but most places will give you a private scan.

I am definitely not ready to start ttc yet - MC at 5 weeks a week ago. But I have some questions for those of you who are about what happens... I didn't go to hospital, only saw a triage nurse when the bleeding started and afterwards - everything happened very very quickly so I knew the little bean was gone.

But when you are pregnant after a miscarriage, will they give you an early scan? If not, can you pay for one? Can you book in early with the midwife so you've got someone to phone? The thought of being pregnant again is quite scary, I think I'd need some extra hand holding but since this was my first pregnancy and I didn't get to the stage of seeing a midwife, I'd like to know what to expect. Thank you! xx

Got more news since last post, I went for an early scan & 2sacs were visible! Twin 2 wasn't as developed as twin 1 so there is a chance that I will MC one, however It could also equally develop & be fine. FX! I have to wait a week (it's already been a week) and get another scan to see if there are 0,1, or hopefully 2 heartbeats!
Iv been freaking out a bit, I'm so scared of loosing 1. This sounds odd but if I have twins it's as though my MC was meant to be as I was supposed to be having 2 next year. Don't want to go through another loss. The wait is literally driving me insane!

I had a D&C on the 20th of November. Dr has said to wait for 2 periods but OH and I decided to start TTC straight away. I feel a bit mad about doing that but am hoping it will help give me some perspective to stop punishing my body by over eating!

I've got one DS and fell pregnant quickly both times. I guess I'm nervous this time because I think I'll find those first few week really anxious.

When would I test if I had a D&C should I just add 28 days? Which is pretty much my cycle.

AFM I'm 5+2 and worrying everyday. After my first mc I have had an early reassurance scan for the last 2 pgs but both have ended badly - DH and I have decided to let nature take its course. I haven't managed to get past 10 weeks so will contact the GP once I get (fx) past that point I know I must be mad but I don't think I can go through through the dildo cam again and be told 'I'm sorry your pregnancy is not progressing' am I utterly crazy?

hi all just wanted to update you - I got a BFP on Friday. So happy but feel as though I can't get excited yet. I'm so frightened of having another MC. Really want to enjoy my pregnancy even at this early stage but finding it harder than I thought I would. By LMP I'm 6 weeks today although by conception date I'm more likely 5+2/3.
When I had my MC GP said the nx time I conceive I should get an early scan at 6 weeks. Called straight away on Friday and can't get an appointment until December 5th which seems forever away.

Just to say hello. My mmc was in October. I was desperate to conceive before my first AF after mc as I couldn't bear the finality of knowing I definitely wasn't pregnant anymore (stupid as the mc was horrific and clearly there was no doubt).
