Manuka honey helping to concieve?

Roxanne123 · 12/09/2011 09:02

Hi ladies, i know the pain of wanting to get pregnant after trying for so long.

7 people i know who had been trying to concieve between 6months and 3years gave me a tip... they were having 2 spoonfuls of manuka honey umf25+ a day.. all of them who now have children or are pregnant.

After ttc for 14 months i decided to give it a go... i am now 13+2 :)

This may be a total fluke but if it can help anyone at all its worth putting it out there

Thanks for all the congratulations feeling very excited and scared all at the same time. Hoping it sticks now. Might carry on taking the Manuka as it is meant to be good for blood supply to your womb so surely that has to help it stick!

Florin- if it's a boy call him Manuka- or at least something beginning with M, for a girl it has to be Honey surely? !

Hi there! Sorry that AF arrived Havealittlefaithbaby. Mine arrived yesterday in full force too :( on cd 2 today. So... My cycle which has always been 28 days, for the last two was 25 days, and this one has reduced further to just 24 days. That's not even funny! What does this mean in teems of ttc? Heeeelp!

sorry the witch arrived faith. It's rubbish isn't it x

CD29 here so I'm sure I'll get a visit tomorrow - not holding my breath although temp was still up this morning.

Surely the magic honey has impregnated one of us???

Good luck Havealittlefaithbaby and Thehappycamper. I poas first thing this morning- BFN. Wanted to use and bin the preg test I had from my miscarriage back in march. It was a superdrug one, if that helps! Is cd 24 too early to test? Trying to be optimistic, but fairly certain that a teaspoon of honey on days that I remembered to take it is not gonna work miracles. We'll see. Keeping fingers crossed for evil witch to stay away! Fingers crossed for you ladies!

I am also due on sun/mon and don't feel any different to normal so not getting hopes up. I've almost finished one 250ml jar but will still eat the other and see what happens.

Hi girlies. Sorry for disappearing act: due to work commitments. Currently on cd23, out of a 28 day cycle- last two were 25?! Confused. No symptoms. where is the op? Getting a feeling that we've been duped- that she owned shares in manuka honey! Conspiracy theorist, moi? Smile

I agree generic think i'll finish the pot and see how I feel. We sometimes use conceive plus if I don't have much CM (similar to preeseed, can get it in Boots) but no bfp so far!

GenericDietCola · 28/09/2011 13:55

Didn't work for me either pie - witch got me today. Not going to bother buying anymore - its stupidly expensive and I think my problems are probably too much for mere honey to fix! I quite enjoyed this little trial though - something different for last month. Next month I might try Preseed.

oh gawd....i'm going bonkers. whilst in the honey isle at tescos i came across some manuka honey. said to DP that this is supposed to help with conception. DP sniggered and asked where on earth i find out this sort of information! Anyway, it went in the trolley and i had it on my porridge the next day. not as nice as regular squeezy honey!

Guttingly out this month :( The most evil witch of all the witches got me yesterday! :(

I was only having a spoonful once a day in my herbal tea ....

dare I ask have we had any BFP's yet?

I am on CD24. I've been taking it twice a day for 12 days now I think.

I have no inkling either way this month but then I never do lol! Grin
