Chronic pain

Lots (8+🤯) of health issues-lifestyle change helped?

Does anyone have a high number of chronic health issues to manage?

I have pcos, thalassaemia trait, endometriosis stage 4, moderate adenomyosis, postural tachycardia syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome/ interstitial cystitis, probable Ehlers danlos (seems likely due to the Mcas/pots). Also migraines with aura diagnosed asthma too.

How much would lifestyle play a part (I have three youngish kids and one with ASD/SEN.. although I suspect the others maybe have challenges too)… We live a hectic lifestyle - kids clubs, work etc… has anyone made a complete lifestyle change to get their conditions under control?

For us a lifestyle change would mean moving away from London… but all my specialist health teams are in our excellent local hospital. So that’s something to bear in mind.

I guess I’m wondering if anyone’s been in this position before and found reducing stress has made a big different when you are managing / juggling so many health conditions?

Thanks 😊🙏

I wish.. butler would be brilliant 🤣🤣🙃🙃May be able to get some more help with the kids.. problem is that my son especially can be v difficult with people who help eg babysitters.
Sadly I feel like it’s a matter of time before I need to stop work. I feel ill most days now. Mornings are the worst.

With multiple conditions and 3 kids I think there is only so much changing where you live can improve things. Unless you can afford not work and run multiple staff to take over all crap jobs and running about. Then granted you may perk up with butler serving proseco and healthy snacks not junk

Thank you! I am on a cocktail of different meds which helps. Endless appointments. Lots of coffee and early nights. Had surgery for the endo which helped as was house bound before that. I’m exhausted the whole time though. Sometimes work is easier than looking after kids (it is a very full on job tho) and I am lucky to wfh. The hospital near us is brilliant. Just wish I wasn’t there all the time. London living where we are is very fast paced.. Will somewhere slower help me is the question I keep wondering.. or is it my crap genes and I’d be ill where ever I was?!
Glad it’s not just me wondering the same thing!

I've multiple autoimmune health problems and I hear you. We were looking at more rural living but, like you, I need to reasonably close to a half-decent hospital for reviews, etc.

It's the related fatigue that gets to me. It's affecting everything. I honestly don't know how you manage! (My kids are older.)
