I do it online thriftily but then on pay day in December I withdraw any cash that's left over and go mad
Every year end up buying more than we need

I hate Christmas shopping, hate the madness of it all and all the queues.
I did most of it online. Just got to sort out all the food shopping now.
Which of course will have to wait untill December.

Oh and Temple of doom castle is ace. My DS loves his and has played with it everyday since his b.day in May. Good choice.

I'm truly jealous Envy

I'm starting mine at the end of the month on pay day. hope to be finished within a month. DS2 due early Jan and I really can't face the Xmas shops this year. Plus he is likely to arrive early as my first did.

Oh and yes you are nuts but in a very efficient way!

What are you going to do with your time when all your presents are wrapped up lovingly and stashed away; whilst everyone else (me included) is going to be stampeding to the shops , buying more stuff than I can carry and surrounded by people whinging on -it's too busy/too hot in the shops/can't they open more tills/ why is there such a queue for the toilets.

You will feel just the tiniest bit bereft and be forced to go out and buy napkin rings or something.

I buy most stuff on-line but have a couple of lazy shopping days just buying little things, so no struggling with bags,
And a late evening, solitary trip to M&S at Lakeside. I park opposite, grab a trolley and wander round for a couple of hours. Bliss!

The only reason why i decided to go a bit mad is that i sold a lot of my son's old toys on Ebay and saw a great Temple of Doom Castle that my eldest would like and it just escalated from there.

you are a saddo, but i'm only saying that as i'm extremely jealous and wish i could start buying presents right this very minute, but we're just back from a week away and a little bit broke (plus just had ds's 3rd birthday) my poor poor bank balance

well done, now you can just relax until December :)
