Holiday cover

My wonderful childminder is going on holiday for 3 weeks in August. I could probably swing a week off work and maybe have my parents do a few days but was wondering if nurseries offer holiday club type things?

My daughter is almost 2 and very sociable so I was thinking maybe 3-4 hours a day for 3 days a week. Do such things exist?

Any ideas appreciated.

My toddler used to go to in the holidays. Was 20 pound a day. Could drop them at 8am and collect them at 6pm.

Does your childminder have any other childminder friends who could help, you might find that your dd will know them if she already sees them socially during the week at various toddler groups or childminder drop ins, if not contact your CIS & see if they know of any childminders who are willing to do holiday cover.

I'm not sure about clubs for this age as I thought there were just full time nurseries but I'm obviously wrong.

Anyway, just carrying on from what badgerhead said. I'm a childminder and have another childminder who can take my mindee(s) if necessary and vice versa. A lot of childminders do this so it's worth asking. Otherwise as badgerhead said, contact your local CIS for help (or visit the national childcarelink website )

Good Luck

Thanks for all the replies. Why I didn't think to ask my CM I don't know! (doh!) Anyway will see if she has any contacts.
