Sorry been frantic with trying to tidy house for in-laws staying over this weekend, on top of working, on top of buying an outfit for this weeding this weekend that DH is a best man for. ARGH! Such trivial problems but he's barely been around (as per usual really) and I have it all myself, plus he is stressed bunny as his speech isn't finished! Bless his cottons.

Fairly easy week, next week will be a nightmare but enjoying the "break"

How's people?

I'm packing today for Scotland! I started a thread on it yesterday about the fact I was taking shorts and sandals, fleeces and wellies raincoats

Anyone else going away? We aren't having a proper holiday as such. We did have a cottage booked for May, but DH got snet down here on a course, then he's away on another 1 from the 31st July until about 22th August. The holiday cottage company have been great though and have let us carry the deposit over to next year!

I'm a bit more relaxed now that I know the forms are coming from OFSTED to fill in. All I need to do now is figure out how I can advertise!

Morning gang. First mindee was supposed to arrive at 6.15 today, but I got up to discover a txt message to say she was ill! Sods law last night was the night I forgot to tlk my phone up to bed with me, otherwise I'd've heard it before I got out of bed! So, been up, showered and dressed since 5.45pm! Still, I have cleaned the whole of my downstairs, run the dishwasher and I'm, on my second load of washing!

Leavers assembly this morning Many tears will be shed, I'm sure.

OH dear!!

Well i have woken up in a better frame of mind that i have been in for the past week or two, I honestly am going to just enjoy the holidays and the fact i'll just be with my girls from 3pm everyday (1.30pm some days!!) and just make the most of it and hope that something comes along for september. I'm not going to agree to meet that lady again i'm fed up of her letting me down so if i refuse to meet her then i can't feel let down and i wont have cleaned up for nothing (well its a good excuse to keep on top of it but ykiwm) I've decided to do 1 leaflet drop a week until business picks up advertising babysitting as well as childminding and hope that something comes of it at the end.

Heres to enjoing the hols and not worrying about stuff that hasn't happened yet!!!

DS doesn't leave until next year, but I can imagine I will be in buckets of tears. You should have seen me when he left the States to come here. The teachers were in tears, and I was in hysterics Kids!

Shosh! You've made me cry already and its not until 10.30!
Katy - what on earth were your mindees eating when they arrived? Breakfast type stuff Ihope!
LMG - glad you're feelingmore positive today. How long have you been minding?
Saltire - I always pack for all weathers in Scotland and I never have to wear my rain coat and wellies! We'd love to fly up, but we take so much stuff to cover every weather front, the car is heaving! Its 500 miles door to door and its a tough journey - but so worth it when we get there. We're taking the tent somewhere on Monday week, don't know where yet - we'll wing it!
Crace - Yo sound like me when my in-laws come. I spend days cleaning and dh just 'turns up' at the last minute.
Mumlove - Are you doing anything nice tomorrow for your birthday?
Did I miss anyone?!

Morning all, I'm just enjoying a cuppa and peace and quiet whilst baby naps. Had the 2 sisters last night for my first overnight care and it was great, ds loved it (they are like his sisters as the one who's 2 at the weekend started here when she was 6 months old ). Baby was dropped off at 9.30 instead of 8.30 which was nice as did school run with just ds. Baby is staying overnight and I'm expecting more work than with the other 2 last night but it's got to be worth all this extra money! I bloomin need it! But good news is, dad reckons he'll pick baby up tomorrow around midday as will have missed her and doesn't want to wait until 6pm - bless! And my school run is TT only and I don't need to collect tomorrow so IF baby does get picked up early, it will be just me and ds for the afternoon which will be lovely

AND........the sun is shining Off to hang some washing out, have a good day everyone!

LMG's - I've sent you MSN but just in case didn't read, well done for being positive about it all, no point in stressing and ruining the holidays

I've been minding just over a year, i'm going to apply for a sustainability grant, take it easy over the summer, carry on advertising and have my fingers crossed for someone new in sept!!

I'm back! No tears at all - how disappointing! I think it must have been the expectation of it all. Glad its over though, I was really nervous and all stomach churning before I went. They got a lovely year book with all their friends in it, with their aspirations for the next 10 years. One of her closest friends wants to massage people for money! DD wants to be an actress or a designer!

It took me a couple of years to really get going. Keep at it - before long you'll be turning people away. Take it easy over the summer and enjoy!

If her designing skills are anything like yours are then she will be great (I mean about your decorating cakes)

I was hoping for something with a little more financial gain, like a graphic designer or electronic designer actually!

Good afternoon to you all. I am having a lovely coffee after a busy morning. Have had a contract review with the siblings mum (older 1 will start school in sept), and she was happy to pay my new fees, Great news!
After I went to DD end of term service.

MML - I wished I lived closer to you and I could of had one of your fabulous cakes, but instead I have a tescos chocolate one.
Having a couple of people around in the afternoon for coffee and cake, but need to be a taxi service for DD as she has her dress rehersal for her ballet performance the next day, (more taxi service).

I feel for you DMO! DD leaves tomorrow. Apparently the weather is going to be hideous down here tomorrow too, so there's not going to be a lot of signing autographs and taking pictures at our school. I've got the afternoon off to spend with dd and her mates mums. We had planned to go to the pub and sit in the garden, but I don't think thats gonna happen now.
