Monring folks! Very tied and very grainy eyed this morning. Got a tough couple of days too. Two little ones who hate the sound of each other crying! Oh joy. Lovely and wonderful when happy, not so good when sad. Going straight to playgroup from school I think, then there'll both fall asleep on the way home and be happy by the time we get there. Will have to walk up big hill with double buggy which I haven't done for a while, not in the mood for cardio vascular this morning!
Fransmom - I know about the cookies!!!!!!

It is, isn't it? Its also very sad that people are being so sceptical about it. I know its the world we live in that makes us like it, but I just hope to god that this isn't a hoax.

OMG - that is so sad . I have never 'spoken' to Hilll (I rarely leave the cm thread area!) but from what I can gather she was a lovely person. ended up reading some of her previous threads.. i hope she is at peace now

S7D the kids will give you it on Friday morning and of course you as a very responsible person would not dream of going and spreading it about.

Anyone got any ideas how we can get out of going to a wedding reception which is over 2 hours away on Friday night? We really don't want to go, dh working on Saturday and will have to drive all that way and back within about 4 hours - not fun! I'd post this somewhere else, but they'll just say useless things like 'honesty is always the best policy' and 'well you said you'd go, so you must' I need good old fashioned bloody lies!!!

Hi Mogs. I'd say yes to the temps. Every bit of money counts - especially if you are moving.
Just reeling from the thread about Hillls. Shocking news. Its all sort of turned you all into real people, iykwim!

Hi everyone!

Had a pretty good morning this morning!

I spent yesterday working out my finances. One mindee definatley leaving. Mindee2 is quite possibly going too, although, I haven't been told directly. Mindee3 & 4 only come 1 day each a week.

I was planning to move next Summer but now that my main earners are going/reducing hours I've decided to go sooner. I'll have a period of about 3 months between mindee1 and 2 finishing and me moving. Do you think it's worth looking for temp mindees?

OMG!!! Where did that rain come from! Five minutes ago me & mindee2 were taking a little walk down the garden to look at the flowers and now the rain is like stair rods! Its so loud, I can even hear it through the roof in my new extension. Man - that's loud!

I wish my dh would come home from whereever he is working! Mindee2 is driving me nuts wanting 'Eeyore' all the time. He's looking out the window now shouting Eeyore! I even let him speak to him on the phone, but he still wants him. Aren't they supposed to want their mums, not their cm's dh's! On a brighter note - he told me what colour mine, dh's, mummys and daddys car was this morning - without help! He's only 22 months. I feel so proud - I taught him that!

Right mindees all gone, showered and ready, lets see if the doctor says more than last time, when he diagnosed me three months ago he told me what I had and then said go educate yourself about it and I will see you in July! he gave me some websites to look at!

Trouble is I feel I won't have them much longer anyway, and don't want to rock the boat as it may mean the mum gives me notice, and I would then miss out on a weekly retainer fee all the way through the summer holidays. Think I may have a contract review for start of September term, and if older mindee is no longer coming, may charge extra before 7am and after 7pm.

The mum is really wanting the kids to look after themselves (to save her money - not been directly said to me tho, just in a round about way) but youngest has behaviour problems and eldest has refused to care for younger sibling after a disastrous trial run one morning!

PinkChick · 02/07/2007 13:11

she should still pay for both as thats what you have alloted for her!

Early start for me this morning,
the mum with two who works shifts has decided that in a morning only youngest one will come. Which from my pov means I am getting paid less than a fiver for 6.30-8am, with a sullen sulky mindee. Don't know what to do.

Oh and baby mindee (7m) has decided this morning he quite likes ds' beaker of water and is slurping it and laughing (have been putting boiled water in anyway as mindee was showing an interest last week). So how do I mention it to mum? Do you think she will mind?

MML - cookies were yum!

Blimey, I'd forgotten how tought that hill is! My legs are all weak and pathetic.
I'm fine PC, sticking with this for another year I guess. Thing is, I love my babies, I really do, but once dd is at senior school, there's no real need to work from home. You know what its like, when the end of something is in sight, you just want to move on. The flippin paper work and rules really hack me off, which doesn't help. I've got skills - I'm pc literate, touch type, shorthand and I worked very successfully before dd for the MD of a int'l media rep. I just feel that once dd has left home in 10 years or so, I'll be sorry if I'm still minding. Think it might be a midlife crisis! If mid life is 40 that is!

Time for a coffee, 2 mindees playing with the animals (plastic ones).
Dry here at the moment how long will that last after yesterdays sunshine (got washing dried outside).
Open evening after school tonight so it will be nice to go and have a look at DD work and at the yr 2 classrooms as we will be on holiday when they go back to school in september.

Hopefully everyones days will get better.

Started at 6.30 this morning with a bleary, teary mindee and has got worse ever since lol. One mindee was screaming her head off in a tantrum as not getting her own way, and when I said "What does mummy do when you do this as?" and she says............"Give me sweets". Great.

Oh well, has to get better from here lol.
