I think i need to relax, would love to relax on beach in a really hot country with a cocktail in one hand and gorgeous looking man in the other!
Well till baby girl arrives!

I don't think it helped having the ruck with daddy!

But i'm sure i'll feel better in the morning

please don't wish the baby out, it might happen and SCBU isn't a nice place, you have no control over your baby, like I said Dd1 was 31 weeks (3lb 12) and DD2 was 33 weeks (3lb 8oz) and I had to watch Dd1 struggle to survive. Ds was a 35 weeker and I came home with him, but DDs had to stay in hospital for 3 and 5 weeks, I hated every minute of them being in there and coming home without a baby is heartbreaking, even though you can go and see them whenever you want. DD1 was supposed to come home after 3 weeks, but she had a lots of breathing dips and Bardios and had to stay longer, even time they said she could come home, and didn't I cried!

Gem, please don't wish your baby here too early. My dd was just under 36 weeks and that was bad enough (and she wasn't in SCBU). Just enjoy the lst few weeks of peace and quiet, your baby will be here when s/he is ready.

I think i'll be less busy when i give up work, but it's hard getting everything prepared for when baby arrives, looking for somewhere to live, etc

This is probably the reason my BP is high! also arguing with daddy doesn't help gets me even more stressed out!

thanks for the site will look into that!

Oh - pupuce! Great minds and all that!

Gem - Natalhypnotherapy do a "preparation for birth" CD which I have been listening to regularly - I always end up dozing off while I listen to it, it's that relaxing! It only lasts 30 mins so doesn't take much time out of your day - anyway, what's more important than spending time looking after yourself at this stage of pregnancy? Make the most of relaxation time now as it will be in short supply once the baby arrives .
Oh - their website is here

I know this lady personally and I know several people on Mumsnet have bought her tapes/CDs and liked them - before I recommended her.

Why are you so busy ? That can't be good with a high BP! How are you going to do it when baby comes ?

I think it's hormones as had an arguement with daddy today and it's just out me in a bad mood.

Where can you get relaxation tapes from?

Also it's finding the time to sit and listen to them, i've got so much to do and so little time to do it in

Again 33 weeks is guaranteed Special care Baby unit... that is NOT nice for babe or mom... I know you're fed up but try to see it more positively ? Hav eyou tried relaxation tapes? There are some out there that get you to really spend time relaxing (which is great for BP) and get you in touch with your baby

I've only met my MW once and that's because i can never get hold of her to make an appointment, also that alternate at my surgery.

Dr has suspected it because of swollen legs and ankles, protein x2 and blood in urine sample each time, headache and slightly elevated BP this week.

Sent of bloods to the hospital just waiting for results, been told to keep my feet up and rest!
If only i could

Just can't wait for it to be here!

I should add... do you want to go in labour now ? 33 weeks is really small!!!! If anything aim for at the very least for 36weeks.

Why are you not seeing a MW ? And what makes them feel you might have pre-eclampsia?

Report
Gem1355 · 17/02/2005 21:17

Only reason i ask is because over the last few weeks i've been in and out of hospital with suspected pre-eclampsia, also i'm so fed up with being PG and not feeling like myself!

In all the time i've been PG only met my MW once, other than that been seeing my GP who also happens to be a gyne DR!

Gem - you are 33 weeks.... you have another 5 weeks to go.... try to relax...
I should add that (please check with your MW) if you were to go in a premature labour it is not necessarily because the head was engaged at 33 weeks.
