I'm sitting in a very empty quiet maternity ward having somehow managed to produce a beautiful baby boy this evening.

Absolutely knackered having been on the go since yesterday lunchtime but can't stop staring at him in shock, awe and love Smile

PS Why do boys get the good eyelashes?!?!

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on eBay. Gosh those lashes are about 5 times as long as mine, amazing!

The eyelashes are getting ridiculous now - I'm so jealous!

Thanks Lime19, it's from Mothercare but I don't think they do it anymore. Maybe on eBay? I love it so want to hang onto it just in case we have another baby otherwise I'd have been happy for you to send it to you.

He's georgeous! Where did that rainbow baby vest come from. I feel like I need one for my babies when they arrive!

Aw this made me smile, your baby boy is beautiful.

It's scary how quick it flies in and how big they get, my first baby boy is 11 weeks, not so small anymore.

Another self indulgent post but I've currently got a gently snoring 2-monther on my lap. He's been amazing and is starting to smile.

Today was the hardest yet as we seem to have hit leap 2 at the same time as his first jabs - my heart was breaking as he wouldn't stop wailing for an hour.

Anyway, sorry again for the self-indulgent post! Here's a photo of my little pixie boy at 4 weeks GrinGrin

What is it about tiny babies that makes you want to squeeze them all up?

I remember that 'crap, I'm a parent now' feeling. Mind you I still feel like that sometimes.

Congratulations! He is gorgeous. I was stunned to have finally given birth after my first was born, and even more surprised that he was so beautiful. For weeks afterwards, I could just sit and watch him and admire him for hours on end.
