Home-Start helps families who are struggling in myriad ways....as a volunteer you visit (mainly) mothers and babies/young children in their home and support in various ways, including to help model play or behaviour, support mothers struggling with anxiety, poor mental health, go to toddler groups, help new mums with multiples etc. With all of the cuts to funding for early years education and support for families, and knowing how vital the early development of children's brains and wellbeing is, I loved being a volunteer. It is a great privilege to visit families, but so rewarding and feels as though you are doing something meaningful.

I think you have posted in the wrong place as this is the cancer board. You could report your post and ask mumsnet to move it.
