Maxi Cosi Mica or Pearl?

I'm looking to move DS into the next size up car seat. I need a spin seat! I'd like to stick with a Maxi Cosi ideally.

Any thoughts or preferences on these two seats please?

Oh, another thing to look at - are you planning to rear face for the whole time of using the seat or do you think you'll probably turn forward later? If you think you'll turn forward later, Maxi Cosi Axissfix Air is well worth a look, although has the same height/weight limits.

Do you mean the Pearl 360? Most of the Pearl seats don't spin.

Do you already have the base for the Pearl 360? It would be a bit of an expensive seat otherwise.

The Mica didn't get a great crash test result compared with some of the other brands of spin seats, which is surprising. You could look at Britax in terms of similar quality and ease of use.

Are you aware that these seats are sized by height/weight and therefore are outgrown by 105cm/18kg which could be much younger than age 4 if your child is tall for their age? It is possible to get seats up to 125cm/25kg which last you a good couple of years longer. They don't spin, but the sides of them are really low and open so it is easy to get the child into the seat.
