easy to fit car seat for 19 month old- occasional use

I don't drive so occasionally get lifts with friends. This was fine with the baby seat but my 19 month old now needs the next stage up (she is short and not quite 13kg so I'm still using the baby seat-not long left though!)

Can anyone recommend a good car seat to use occasionally for short trips with friends that is quick to install using a seatbelt and is fairly easy to carry? (I'm pregnant so can't lug giant seats into cars!)

(For our family car we have a be safe Isi combo ERF seat but it's isofix and a couple of my friends don't have it/have cars that are small)

PS forgot to add that I don't want to spend too much as it will basically be stored in the house and used a couple of times a month... Max £100

We have a britax one that we often move from my car to my dad's. It's about £65 from Halfords. I can't remember the model name but it's a popular one. It's comfortable and secure and easy to move.

We used the Britax Eclipse at that age. It straps in with the car seat which would be better for you as not everyone wil lhave isofix in their car. It is about £80-90 iirc.

All car seats for that age group are very heavy though so that's unavoidable. If a friend is picking you up, ask him or her to carry it and put it in the car, then you can attach it.

How long does the Britax one take to strap in? The baby seat takes me about 30 secs so would like something similar! Or are these seats just more fiddly?

The Britax Prince and Eclipse are very east to fit, thread the seatbelt through the back, clip in and tighten thoroughly.
