I’ve had this issue recently, I do have the odds stacked against me with not only menopause, but medications I take. I have been speaking to the GP recently and after blood tests they have found that my hormones are out of whack. I have recently been prescribed testosterone and different oestrogen in the hope this balances out my hormones and helps my metabolism. Do you take HRT and/or had your hormones checked recently? The GP also said to me to eat lots of fibre.

I’m worried I may find the same as the same age, but still lots more to lose than you. Have you had bloods recently to check your thyroid just in case anything happening there?

I'm having the same bother but had loads of bloods done last year for another reason and everything was fine. Being peri and old and fat is no fun!

Nothing to help but just to remember that it's an unfair natural course. Some women are lucky and remain like pencils in physique .
I was naturally a pear, tend to accumulate weight first around thighs and have a slow metabolism so being menopausal further disadvantage in overcoming the problem.

After thirty are muscle mass declines too.
Definitely don't cut calories drastically as it's unsustainable and detrimental.
Estrogen. Insulin. Cortisol play a significant role in weight gain/loss

It is really disheartening to out in effort without results, 15k steps is a lot and very hard to maintain whe feel dispondent. However do remember youre still getting the benefits to your heart and cognition.
some people are lucky and respond quickly to exercise, some dont need exercise and have high metabolism etc..

It's seems a really long never ending stormy grey day to endure. Don't succumb to low mood comforters. Continu eating clean. Fasting 16:8 maybe two meals a day with twice weekly 800 calories divided between two 400 meals. If peckish, microwave and wizz equal parts courgette broc celerity with no sugar almond milk or dethaw frozen spinach and blend with milk and Basil. That's what I do.

I'm low carb >30g but have been for years due to wheat, grains, high glycemic foods being the cause of bad skin. I use frozen or fresh cauliflower steamed, add milk and either parsley leaves or knorr chicken gel to make a creamy 'mash' and buy FullGreen cauliflower rice where I add garlic powder before microwaving for 5min then it accompanying chicken tandoori, yoghurt, mango chutney, lettuce. Use josephjospeh spiraliser to make Courgetti have that with salmon fillet or waiteose Flexi half meat, meat balls. Usually I take one full egg and one egg white beat with electric hand whisk with glue of almond milk for fluffy scrambled egg served with LowCarb toast or smoke salmon with goats cheese.

Don't fall for cavitation or radio-frequency they just deals with cellulite subcutaneous fat and will drain your pockets.
I gey leg pain from another issue so already have a 40hz vibration plate which I perform static positions on to quadruple muscle contractions. I'm told as a petite height, ectomorph pear body type that compound exercises are best but I find them hard to do at home.

My legs feel like when you pump up a lilo and gradually it firms up. Knee joints play up like im 80. Chest very tender and solid. Insomniac for months.
First time in my life I have abdominal and lower back fat, not wanting summer to come when I feel just so.

Hope your situation improves

:)

How much muscle/lean mass do you have? I have found gaining muscle is the best way of increasing my metabolism and since I started strength training 9 months ago need to eat 500 more calories a day to maintain the same body size/tummy circumference. I would switch out 5000 of your steps for 30 min lifting a day.

I do resistance band training as found weights to keep causing injury from getting the technique slightly wrong

What isnyour weight routine and time allocation towards it?

Melissa Neill on YouTube is great at helping women post menopause lose weight and build muscle. She also lost weight and got in shape herself in her late 40s and is in her 50s now.
