How big did your boobs get either during pregnancy or while bfeeding?

There are underwired nursing bras - just not very many and in limited sizes. They're very much frowned upon as a no-no because the wires can crush the milk ducts and cause mastitus. Thing is, any badly fitting bra can squish your milk ducts. And once BF is established your boobs settle down and don't change size so much over the course of the day, thereby reducing any risk of wearing wires.

Funny thing is, I got crushed milk ducts and engorgement, resulting in mastitus, by wearing my non-wired bra in bed - which is what you're advised to do. I just spilled out of the top of the cup, which is what always happens to us more buxom girls if we lie down in a bra. Couldn't get any kind of sleepbra in my size, so couldn't wear pads, and just had to resign myself to flooding the bed and mattress most nights. DS is nearly 9 months now and it's all settled down so we're off to buy a new mattress on Tuesday - it was knackered anyway.

40C before DD1, 40F at my largest when feeding but went back down to 40C by 43 months (fed for 13 months).

With DD2 no change in size at all, they just did the business, obviously having been well trained by previous child.

Am a 42C now (because I am fat and lazy) but they are still quite perky for my age - I must be lucky.

Baroness - thank you, you've confirmed what I was thinking. Have just ordered two lovely new underwired bras without any pricks of conscience because I have empirical (mumsnet) proof that they are necessary to my self esteem, particularly after having just subjected myself to the 'mumsy' thread in Style & Beauty (NB: I've clearly been mumsy since I was about 16. Lovely.)

Can't remeber my pregnancy size but got to an astounding 34C whilst bfing. Needed a magnifying glass to find them before that though [gring]

Mine have gone from 38C to 40FF. I really hope they go back down again, I hate having massive boobs

Nope - not that I could find. We are all doomed.

On the rare occasions that I ever leave the house without DS, I wear a normal underwired one. I've seen threads with instructions of how to convert a normal bra by adding clips and bits but it seemed to much like hard work and not guaranteed to work.

30E before pregnancy. Now 32G whilst feeding. It's been 2.5 years since I've worn an underwired bra (2 babies close together) and I am so very, very tired of looking saggy. Is there such a thing as a supportive nursing bra? It makes me feel very mumsy and unattractive TBH (obviously wouldn't stop me feeding DD).

32G pre baby, 36H whilst pregnant, 34K whilst feeding - although to be honest probably a 32KK would fit better but they don't appear to exist as a nursing bra.

Hi before my first pregnancy i was a 34b, went up to a 36c and then during second pregnancy went up to a 40d! d.d 4months now and i am still 40d, don't like it, it's too big for my frame and none of my tops fit! Worried that when i stop bf they will look like two wrinkled deflated balloons. Nice.

Was 34 C/D pre-pg. During pg was 34D. Now 34/36F, feeding 10 m.o. DS. DH still comments on it!

38B/C when I got pg with DD1, 38D within a few weeks of pg 40DD when I had her and 40F 48 hours after starting fenugreek

After 3 DDs and 7.6 years of bfing in 4.8 years I'm now a 34G-36G depending on style and whether it's a drop cup or ordinary bra.
