Hi

The May thread is so long, thought I'd start another about the SCAN!!!

I am 10+4 and just got my appointmentfor 25 October- I'll be 12+5 then. I can't wait! It seems ages away, just dying to relax and enjoy this but I wont let myself until I know all is well.

Oh, and for those who have done this before, I hear the midwifes tell you off if you get too fat in first trimester- how fat is too fat? I have put on about 5lbs already- will they expect me to diet?

Added you in Scootermum. Hi everyone, esp the newbies. Sorry to hear some of us are so down. HOw are we feeling today?

Didn't get into X factor! Doh. THe tickets are "first come first served" when you show up so we got there an hour before doors opened and discovered a queue of about 200 people, some of whom had arrived at 8am! Not my style at all. Plus you get trapped in the studio for hours as you have to stay for the results show. Went for a lovely stuff up meal with my friend in Crouch End instead. Organic steak frites. Yummy.

Hi all,
Havent posted in a while as I have been off work since car accident number 2 with mild concussion and whiplash.Lovely.

Have just been scrolling down a little.I am very tearful at the moment too, which is really unlike me.I was really nervous about driving into work this morning as I seem to be an accident magnet at the moment and I really wound myself up in the end so that I was a wreck by the time I got in.No-one at work knows yet either so they all just think Im mental.

I have been feeling very guilty about my unhealthy heatung as with dd I ate practically only fruit and veg and lean meant throughout.With this baby its chocolate, cake, Mcdonalds..God only knows what....
largegandt I was desperate to marry a farmer.I failed.However I have since found out that country living magazine do a dating service especially for farmers.I was gutted!

I will try to do that stats thing now.But im a bit of a luddite so will probably fail!

PS.my big craving.Bovril on toast.(not made up with water clearly.That would be a mess)

Morning everyone, hope you are all feeling ok today. I loved the food debate although now i fancy marshmallows, may have to send dh round the shop for some

I had to go out and buy a some tracksuit bottoms yesterday, i dont normally wear them but was in need of something comfy to relax in. Ive had to put up with my neighbours commenting on how much im showing already, they keep joking it could be twins, even the midwife said it when i mentioned that this time around im suffering with the nausea whereas i never had any with my previous two. ROll on the scan when i can put my mind at rest. I used to like the idea of twins but now id prefer to have just the one baby, ds2 is too much of a handful (but in a nice way!!) He is sat by me playing with that horrible FLOAM stuff at the moment. It is horrible but it keeps him happy.

All of you who miss their dh's when they go away, you can have mine if you want. He works lates which means he is around during the day and it drives me mad sometimes. He was supposed to be going to golf today but that has been cancelled, i was really looking forward to the peace Dont get me wrong i love him to bits, i just like it when he goes out now and again. I suppose if he was to go away for long periods of time i would hate it after a while but at the moment it wouldnt bother me (that sound horrible doesnt it!!)

small world, megglevache. Did you know Glenmoor school for girls? was in Bournemouth until 2 yrs ago when we moved to France. Wanted bilingual children and I prefer the education system here. Miss UK like mad though, miss the shops, certain foods, magazines and of course friends and family.

thanks for you encouraging words, ladies. i am feeling better already. i think after i get through today i will feel lots better. we don't have any family close and our friends are all childless and work all the time. i will not have a break the entire time dh is gone. thanks ok though. ds is a great kiddo and we have a lot of fun together. he sleeps well too. that always helps. thanks again.

Good evening, everyone! I didn't have to hide in the loos in M&S in the end, although I was horrified to find that my boobs are now a G cup (G for Gargantuan)! GAAAAAAAH!

I love going to America (my step-dad lives there) and I'm always blown away by the options where food is concerned. You can eat out relatively cheaply and you're always spoilt for choice when it comes to the kind of food on offer. Also, I remember going to a supermarket and being absolutely amazed by the ice cream cabinets!! Not only do you get all of these fantastic different flavours, you can even get it in tubs the size of buckets!

I just want to say, though - Jessinwa & LG&T: I really feel for you both. I'd be the same in your shoes, I think. Just keep thinking ahead to the time when your other halves are due home. Until they're back, you can always come here to either let off steam of just have a good old natter!

It sounds lovely MKG, and you have such yummy food. Our food can be ok, if you like fish and chips! Am off to eat a toasted teacake now do you have those? Kind of a big hot cross bun, split and toasted with lots of butter. Still peanut butter ice cream would win hands down
