Well, I was right - he's a boy! labour was a fairly leisurely 9 hours or so, completely different from ds1. he weighed in at 9lb 2oz (glad I wasn't expecting that!!) - a full 2lb more than ds1 - but the midwives were great and I have no stitches or tears, so I feel quite proud of myself! Home birth was great, so nice not to have to go anywhere. Will post the full story on the homebirth thread.
We can't stop looking at the new little bundle lying beside us - we're so lucky

ok, perhaps I should add, even if there was something 'wrong' with him, he would still be perfect...just trying to put into words why I felt ambivalent at first - just generally worried I think, about whether I would be able to love him as much as ds1.

Thanks very much for your congratulations
Feeling v guilty that I haven't managed to get the story down yet (bit like an unfinished piece of homework hanging over me!) and the memories are fading so fast...
ds2 has woven his spell and I am now fully besotted - first day or two I was a bit unsure, I think I was paranoid there might be something wrong with him, and he did look like a bit of an alien, but I'm now pleased to declare that he is absolutely perfect

Congratulations on your big boy! V jealous of a birth that can be described as "leisurely"
