Soooo pleased with dd2 - what a lovely girl she is :-)

It's her birthday today. We are skint and, after a couple of unsuccessful attempts to get her a birthday present, the day is here and we've nothing for her.

Dd1 and I made cards and she is having a birthday meal with my mum and dad (and us). Dh and I explained to her this morning that we didn't have a present for her.

She said, "that's ok. Because the most important thing in life is love and I know I've got that"

Oh yes she was thrilled with them. Dd1's had a snake on the front. Dd2 (who knows her snakes) was trying to decide what it was: "well, it's a bit like a zebra cobra with a bit of King Red thrown in..." pmsl

She groaned at my joke though (mind you it was baaaad)
