No one ever told me his name was awful thankfully, they may have thought it but didn't say it! That's the joy of Mumsnet. All four of mine have unique names so just go with what you like, it's probably best not to ask people's opinions as they will make you doubt your choices. My eldest is 18 and loves his unusual name and likes that he's the only one with it that he knows in this country.

@PlantPotting, no...still have decided. The opinions on here continue to be divided between the names relatively equally, which makes it super-hard! (And I can’t help but feel a little deflated when a few of the opinions are that both names are “awful”, although I am, of course, aware that everyone has the right to their own opinion. Still, mostly positive impressions, thanks lovely posters!)
