Baby names

Lilah, Lola or Luna

Opinions? Had a much longer list which I don't think contained any of these but they've suddenly become front runners. Luna is dh favourite, Lola is dds suggestion and Lilah is mine as always wanted Lily but far too popular now. Seems like as they are quite similar (well all start with L and two syllables) one of these is meant to be despite not being any of our original choices!!

I love Lilah, and spelt like that. We would have probably picked it but had a friend who had named her child that with the same spelling, so get we couldn't do the same as it was a bit unusual.

I like Lila(h) the best of yours.
Or what about:
Lara
Leila
Leah
Lilia

I really like Lilah. If it's spelt Lila you're more likely to have to correct people's pronunciation, but Lilah is quite clearly Lie-La.

Of your 3, def Lilah. Also agree Delilah is cool.
Luna is nice but i think I'd get fed up of people asking me if it was HP/Chrissy Teigen connection.
Lola is a showgirl or a husky (I know 3! Dogs, that is, named Lola 🐶 not showgirls...)

I agree that Delilah shortened to Lilah would be great

I absolutely love Delilah. I like Lilah by itself, but there are SO many little girls called some variant of Lila/Leila/Layla etc that I think Delilah (shortened to Lilah) would be much cooler.

Luna is ok, but runs the risk of being nicknamed Loony...

Luna means moon, hence the word lunatic (as mental illness was thought to be related to the phases of the moon). Lola is nice but again reminds me of the Kinks song. Madonna's daughter Lourdes' nickname is Lola. Have you thought of naming her Delilah and calling her Lilah? That way she'll have a more grown up "proper" name on the BC?

Lilah hands down for me.

I like Lilah, that sounds and looks very pretty. I do think Luna will date quite quickly though. Lola is cute too.

Luna by miles for me.

I know 5 Lunas under 3, it's definitely up and coming.

I'd go with Lila/Lilah.

I prefer Lilah out of your list, spelled that way. Lila makes me thinks of lilo. Lola is nice but it feels like it should be short for something - Dolores? It's also quite common nowadays. At least, I know a couple. Luna I'm not keen on. I think menstrual products, too. Would you consider Lilac, the flower?

If you like Lily, I'd think about Lilia or Lilian, which sound more similar than Lilah. Lilah always makes me think of Lilo, tbh.

I love Luna Halo Had this baby been a girl, he would have been Luna!

Of the three, Lilah. Luna and Lola are very doggy names. Luna also reminds me of lunatics and tuna fish. Lola makes me sing the song about the showgirl. I prefer Lila but agree that if you want the Lyla pronunciation, adding the h helps.

Can't believe Lilah is in the running as a baby name. My Aunt Lilah is 83 and the name has always seemed old-fashioned to me. She's an eccentric old dear to say the least!

BUT, when I think of it as a name for a little girl, it suddenly sounds different - sweet and almost floral, like lilac. Makes me think of how it must have sounded to my grandmother when she chose it for her baby.

I vote Lilah!

I like Lilah best and agree with you OP that this spelling is clearest for pronunciation

I quite like Luna too

I'm not keen on Lola but mainly because the only one I know is annoying brat!

I like Luna but it was a common dogs name when I lived in Latin America so I didn't consider too long for my dd. Stay in the uk and you should be fine.
