How would you spell Caden?

I know it isn't liked on here, so no need to say that. I'm just wondering on spelling. Would you assume a child, who told you their name was Caden, spell it as Caden? I really don't know on what the 'correct' spelling is. Is it supposed to be the same as Hayden/Jayden, so Cayden? Help!

I worked with a Kayden. I prefer the spelling Caden, though.

I also prefer it spelt Caden, like Cadence, as another poster said.

There are 3 at my school - Caiden, Caden and Kaiden (We've also got a Jayden, Payton and Haydon - and they are all in the same year!)

I think Caden or Cayden is best as an i makes me want to say it K-eye rather than K-ay

(If this is to write a birthday card or something rather than a name you are considering I think you need to ask as there are just too many variables)

Caden has its own meaning in welsh. Plus you get away from the Americanised use of K and Y..

Well I'd spell it Cayden but clearly that's just wrong! Blush

Caden is much the best spelling if you have your heart set on it.

I'd assume it was Kayden, but I prefer the Caden spelling.

I'd spell it Kayden, but then I know one. His mum said she made the name up Confused. He is about 7 or 8 now I think and a bit of cheeky chappy! Not a bad boy though.

I only know one who is a Kayden. So that would be my go-to, although I think Kaiden (like Aiden) works. Caden seems fine though, similar to Cadence which is a girls name I love.
I love the name Kayden - unfortunately the only one I know is a family member so probably won't use it. It's a great name though, lucky you :)

Caidan or Kaidan have been popular spellings at work. I prefer it with a C.

I quite like it spelled as Kayden, as that's most popular. I also know a Kaidyn, which I'm not keen on, but it's another spelling. x
