Claudia or Saskia?

Struggling to decide between these two names for DD4. Other daughters are Imogen, Eliza and Lara.

Which do you prefer - Claudia Eloise or Saskia Rose?

Many thanks Smile

Saskia was Rembrandt wife. It's a very popular name in the Netherlands.

Midsummer, the op wants our opinions on the names. And in my opinion the Latin meaning of Claudia puts me off. What on earth is tedious about that Hmm?

Claudia. I absolutely love it. Though I do think Claudia Eloise is a bit of a mouthful. Claudia Rose is just beautiful.

There is always someone banging on about the 'unfortunate' meaning of Claudia on these threads, it's only a matter of time and so tedious.

Saskia is Dutch - Rembrandt's mistress I believe. Definitely not made up.

Claudia has different a pronunciation in Europe - Clow-dia - instead of Claw -dia in the UK. May be a consideration?

Saskia is lovely.

Claudia has an unfortunate meaning (Latin)

Claudia, but I'm biased as I have one. I love Saskia too but DH said I'd made it up. I showed him evidence that it was Danish (I think) and then he saw the bottled water in Lidl and it was vetoed.

Saskia is seems super Nordic next to your other names and a bit sexy.

Claudia is stunning. I'd imagine a Claudia to be a sweet polite bright creative girl.

Claudia.
I've seen Saskia mentioned so many times on MN but it just reminds me of the bottled water sold in Lidl.
