Annie for short. What do you think?

Yes Jolie or ballerina. Not a name I would choose.

I quite like Angelia as an alternative as it's unusual. But then I like Richard Marx.

Angelina is very pretty and sounds quite posh Imo.

I like Annie but I have a strong dislike for Angelina - think that might be due to husband stealer Jolie though.

Angelina is a nice name but I agree that Annie doesn't seem a natural shortening.

I love it. Smile

I don't think Annie will come naturally as a shortening though. Angie is more likely. I like Angie, though, because of the Rolling Stones song.

I really dislike it, I'm afraid and would also automatically think it celebrity-inspired. A slightly less fussy version is Angeline, which is somehow better to me. I also would think like some others if you want to call your child Annie, then naming her Angelina doesn't really make that very evident.

Angelina is a stunning name. Surprised there is not more love for it. Annie is a perfectly logical shortening. Not sure why people are trying to push you to go for Angie. That is as logical as Annie, but not any more so.

Angelina Ballerina.
I agree with the others about the nickname (Ang/ Angie).
How about Anneliese? Annika?
Or just Anna or Anja? More unusual like Anwen, Annora?

.... Ballerina
Annoying, self righteous cartoon/story book mouse.

Angelina is a nice name, but my concern would be that it might get shortened to Ange or Angie . . . If you like Annie then go with that as a given name, or Anna.

Amanda, if you want to call her Annie, just do.
Angelina is a beautiful name, why not Annie 😀

Angelina is a lovely name.
Usual nick names are, Angie or Angel.
Not sure about Annie.
How about, Annaliese, or Annica, or maybe Annabel.

I like Angela and Angelica, and Angelina is OK.

I'm not terribly keen... It's a lot of syllables and I don't like the 'gel' sound.

I would also think of Angelina Jolie and wonder if you were a fan, but that isn't a bad thing!

If you want Annie, just name her Anna. I'd have thought Angie was the natural nickname for Angela or Angelina.
